  • Publication number: 20010029633
Abstract: A hammerhead with handle used for straightening various types of nails and other types of fasteners. The hammerhead with handle provides sufficient leverage to quickly grip and straighten a nail. The hammerhead includes a head member with a front portion and a rear portion. A pair of claws extend outwardly from the rear portion of the head member. A nose extension extends outwardly from the front portion of the head member. A nose is attached to the nose extension. The nose includes a nail striking face for hitting a head of the nail. When the claws are held upwardly and the nose facing downwardly, the hammerhead includes a vertical “Y” axis. The “Y” axis is disposed along a length, in a range of 5 to 6 inches, of the hammerhead from the end of the claws, through the head member to the nail striking face.

  • Patent number: 4098344
Abstract: The present invention relates to an earthworking implement or attachment adapted to be connected to and powered by a prime mover such as a tractor, front-end loader, or the like. More particularly, the earthworking implement of the present invention is designed to spread and level dirt and soil material in one operation, and thereafter to appropriately generally tamp, pack or compress the dirt or material to a desired density which may customarily be done in layers. Structurally, the earthworking implement or attachment of the present invention comprises a frame structure having a ground engaging roller, sometimes referred to as a tamping roller, rotatively mounted therein, with the frame structure having a blade disposed forwardly thereacross. A driven counterweight assembly is also on the frame structure and when driven the counterweight assembly imparts a vibratory-massaging action causing the roller to tamp, compress, or massage the dirt or soil being passed thereover.

  • Patent number: 4057088
Abstract: An apparatus for forming serrated edges in wooden panels for interengagement with abutting panels in a wooden I-beam assembly comprises opposed sets of broaches operable for cutting a toothed serration pattern cleanly and accurately in opposed edges of a stack of up to 40 such panels simultaneously. The panels are loaded in infeed means of the apparatus which transports the stack into position for broaching. The stack of panels is aligned laterally by lateral stack alignment means upon placement of the panels in the infeed means. Longitudinal stack alignment means aligns the stack longitudinally when it is transported by the infeed means to a position for broaching. During broaching the stack is supported on opposed anvils in a manner for forming the serrations symmetrically with respect to each end of the stack, hold down means clamps the stack on the anvils, and actuation means drives the broaches downwardly.

  • Patent number: 3934416
Abstract: In a central hydraulic system for marine deck machinery, fixed displacement hydraulic motors are utilized to drive anchor winches and standard mooring winches, and variable displacement hydraulic motors are utilized to drive automatic mooring winches. This permits individual regulation of the line pull or tension of the mooring line of each automatic mooring winch. Variable displacement pressure compensated over center pumps are utilized to supply hydraulic fluid for operating the hydraulic motors by means of a closed loop circuit, and charging pumps are utilized to supply hydraulic fluid at charging pressure.Infinitely variable volume pressure compensated pilot operated four-way directional valves are used to regulate the flow of hydraulic fluid from the variable displacement pressure compensated over center pumps to the hydraulic motors, thereby regulating the speed of operation of each hydraulic motor and the marine deck winch driven thereby.
