  • Patent number: 9799217
Abstract: An oscillator unit for a vehicle detector includes an oscillator circuit for generating vehicle detector loop signals in response to enabling control signals from a vehicle detector control unit, a gain control circuit for maintaining the amplitude of the oscillator output signals within a limited range, and a clamping circuit for eliminating ringing of the oscillator output signals when operation of the oscillator circuit is disabled. The gain control circuit eliminates random amplitude changes in the vehicle detector loop signals generated by the oscillator circuit caused by changing environmental conditions experienced by the vehicle detector loop. The clamping circuit provides immediate clamping of the oscillator circuit operation to eliminate ringing when the control signal switches to the off state. The few additional circuit components which provide the gain control and clamping functions add very little to the overall cost of the oscillator circuit.

  • Patent number: 9548862
Abstract: This disclosure describes cryptographic secure implementation of a Pseudo Random Number Generator (PRNG) architecture based on existing Fortuna algorithm, but providing improvements thereupon for gathering and measuring entropy. The improvement includes a unique step of initial seeding that is not covered by Fortuna. The solution should be adapted to a variety of computing and communicating devices, including mobile devices.

  • Patent number: 8779942
Abstract: A vehicle detector detects bicycles and discriminates between a bicycle and a motorized vehicle using a specific signature analysis technique when operated in the bicycle detect mode and the bicycle only detect mode. The signature analysis technique employs two sets of rules: one set for a bicycle which produces a signature having at least two peaks and two valleys when passing over a loop connected to the vehicle detector; the other for a bicycle which produces a signature having two peaks and only one valley when passing over a marginal side region of a loop connected to the vehicle detector. Peak and valley searches are conducted sequentially, with a peak search being conducted first upon start-up.

  • Patent number: 5782411
Abstract: An electromechanically actuated fuel injector and a solenoid stator assembly for an electromechanically actuated fuel injector are disclosed. The solenoid stator assembly comprises a cup shaped stator core assembly comprised of a plurality of magneto-conductive wire members of a predetermined length arranged in parallel, adjacent and abutting relationship relative to an adjacent wire member. These wire members are bound at one end thereof for some length less than the entire length of the wire members to form a central pole piece, and splayed umbrella like about the central pole piece at the opposite end thereof to form a first pole piece in concentrically spaced relationship relative to said center pole piece. The stator core thereby has a circular top portion and an open end disposed opposite said top portion and facing an armature in the fuel injector.
