  • Patent number: 9750268
Abstract: An apparatus and method for processing grain material to generate a consistently high densified grain with a desired length, shape and size. The densified grain processing apparatus comprises a die assembly, a cooling assembly and a break-off assembly. The method includes receiving the grain material by the die assembly and forcing the grain material through an extrusion passageway that evenly distributes the grain material into a plurality of orifices thereby producing a high density shaped grain before the grain material exits the die assembly. A coolant is pumped to a coolant passage by means of an at least one pump and cools the shaped grain by passing the shaped grain through at least one of the cooling tube inside a cooling chamber. The break-off assembly then breaks off a predetermined length of the shaped grain.

  • Patent number: 8910193
Abstract: A method for binding data in an application. An expression is created via a framework based on input from a developer. The expression is received at an expression engine wherein the expression describes a relation between a first property of a first data of the application to a first property of a second data of the application. A binding is created between the first data and the second data based on the relation via the expression engine. The first property of the second data is changed based on a change to the first property of the first data wherein the changing occurs because of the binding. The receiving the expression, the creating the binding, and the changing the first property are orchestrated via the framework to manage when the expression is executed in the application.

  • Patent number: 7252118
Abstract: According to one aspect, the present technique provides methods and apparatus for inserting coil windings into a stator. Advantageously, the windings may be wound in a vertical configuration to facilitate insertion of the windings into stator slots. Moreover, the exemplary embodiment provides a transfer tool that maintains the stepped and vertical configurations of the coil windings developed during winding upon separation of the wire from the winding form. Advantageously, the present technique may decrease motor fabrication times and improve motor performance.

  • Patent number: 6907894
Abstract: A dielectric, fire-resistant shelter apparatus is disclosed which affords temporary protection to individuals exposed to the open environment. The shelter apparatus includes a protective canopy which is movable between an open position for providing temporary cover and protection to individuals exposed to the environment and a closed, collapsed position for storage. The canopy is substantially dielectric and resistant to fire. A plurality of ribs interconnect with each other to support the canopy in its open position. Moreover, a plurality of struts are secured for supporting the ribs and canopy in the open position and for enabling the ribs and canopy to move to the closed collapsed position. Finally, at least one support element is provided for maintaining the relative positions of the struts, ribs and canopy when in the open position above a ground surface, the support element also being dielectric.

  • Patent number: 6836204
Abstract: A technique is provided for insulating a winding or coil for an electrical machine such as a motor. The coil is wound and placed in a taping station. Multiple layers of insulating tape are applied along an end region with leads bent back from the end region. The taping station permits the leads to be then placed over the insulated end region, and the main body region of the coil is similarly taped in a continuous uninterrupted manner. The tape wrap pitch may be varied along certain regions, where increased dielectric strength is desired. Following the insulating tape application, an armor tape may be applied over both the end region and the main region of the coil in a continuous uninterrupted manner. The coil can then be finished and assembled in a machine such as an electric motor stator.

  • Patent number: 5970953
Abstract: A spring clip includes a first portion including a bridge connecting spaced elongate fingers adapted to straddle a body portion of the fuel injector and be receivable in a receiving portion of a fuel rail cup. The elongate fingers include a reverse bend at a midpoint therealong and terminate in a bridging portion. The bent elongate fingers define finger segments on each side of the reverse bend. The finger segments diverge from the reverse bend part way toward the bridge and bridging portions and converge thereafter to form generally diamond shaped spring elements. A second portion of a generally planar shape having spaced legs engages slots in the injector body. The second portion includes a wall portion extending generally perpendicular to the spaced legs and connects with the bridging portion. When the injector is mounted in the fuel rail cup, the legs are received in slots in the injector body and the elongate finger segments are compressed between the fuel rail cup and the injector body.

  • Patent number: 4623022
Abstract: A method for producing hydrocarbons from a subterranean formation which reduces sand packing in a producing well completed in a zone adjacent the hydrocarbon-bearing formation. The method includes the steps of producing a fluid from the formation which contains both a hydrocarbon phase and an aqueous phase, and simultaneously therewith, injecting a sand control agent, such as a quarternized acylated condensed alkanolamine, into the well adjacent the production zone at a rate to obtain a wellhead concentration of the agent in the aqueous phase in the produced fluid effective to flocculate the concomitantly produced sand particles. The sand particles so treated have a reduced tendency to pack in the well bore and are safely produced with the formation fluids. The method may be practiced in conjunction with conventional sand control techniques, or may be employed as the sole means of sand control.
