Patent number: 11684880Abstract: A fibrous media suitable for an oil filter comprising a fibrous web formed from synthetic fibers; optionally at least one additive, and a thermoset binder present at a concentration of at least 15 wt.-% by weight of the fibrous web and/or at least one binder fiber, wherein the synthetic fibers comprise up to 30 wt.-%, preferably up to 20 wt.-%, glass fibers, based on the total weight of the fibers. The fibers are bonded with the thermoset binder and/or the at least one binder fiber to form a web; and the fibrous media is capable of forming a self-supporting, pleated oil filter media which is capable of retaining pleats upon contact with oil having a temperature in the range encountered in a combustion engine.Type: GrantFiled: July 31, 2020Date of Patent: June 27, 2023Assignee: Ahlstrom OyjInventors: Jesse Shim, Kevin Kim, Ryan Kwon, Jinny Kim, Jamie Byeon, David Alan Topolenski, Kevin Ray Townsend

Patent number: 9308608Abstract: A plunger installation and retrieval tool that incorporates a magnet which magnetically supports a fluid lift plunger during insertion into or retrieval from a lubricator on a natural gas wellhead. The magnet is housed in a magnet holder suspended from an elongate hanger member the upper end of which is connect to a hanger support. An actuation rod slidably extends through the hanger support and through bores in the magnet and magnet holder, such that a downward force applied to the actuating rod will cause the lower end of the actuation rod to project below the magnet and break its magnetic bond with the plunger, thus releasing the plunger from the tool. The tool may be provided with a cylindrical skirt fitting closely around the upper end of the plunger to prevent laterally leading that could break the magnetic bond during plunger insertion and retrieval.Type: GrantFiled: March 8, 2012Date of Patent: April 12, 2016Assignee: Fourth Dimension Designs, Ltd.Inventors: Murray Ray Townsend, Cal Whibbs

Patent number: 7121335Abstract: A plunger for a gas well including an elongate body having a first end and a second end. A sleeve overlying the body. The sleeve being shorter in length than the elongate body and is axially moveable between the first end and the second end of the body. At least one circumferential seal on the exterior surface of the sleeve, thereby providing a barrier to the passage of fluids along the exterior surface of the sleeve. At least one fluid flow passage is provided through the sleeve. A first axial stop is provided at the first end of the body and a second axial stop is provided at the second end of the body to limit axial movement of the sleeve. The second axial stop having sealing shoulders which engage the second end of the sleeve to close off the at least one fluid flow passage.Type: GrantFiled: April 28, 2004Date of Patent: October 17, 2006Assignee: Fourth Dimension Designs Ltd.Inventor: Murray Ray Townsend

Publication number: 20050268796Abstract: A method for injecting fluid into meat products comprises taking a plurality of hollow fluid injection needles having sharpened discharge ends, and connecting the needles to a source of pressurized liquid; penetrating the sharpened ends of the needles into the product and thence withdrawing the same while discharging fluid into the product and vibrating the needles for a period of time while they are within the product to enlarge the size of a penetration hole within the product caused by the penetration of the needles to a size greater than the size of the needles to create at least a partial space around the needles to permit fluid from the needles to migrate into the spaces around the needles. The needles have a roughened outside surface.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 7, 2005Publication date: December 8, 2005Applicant: Townsend Engineering CompanyInventor: Ray Townsend
