Patent number: 11906529Abstract: Methods and assays for diagnosis or prognosis of endometriosis include comparing an expression level or activity of miR-155 and JARID2 in a sample to detect a measurable difference. Therapeutic methods for treating endometriosis in a subject comprise identifying a subject as having a decreased expression level and/or activity of JARID2 in a sample obtained from the subject; and administering an agent that inhibits an activity of an miRNA that targets JARID2 or an agent that inhibits EZH2. Methods for screening for a compound useful for treating endometriosis are also provided and include contacting a cell with an effective amount of a test compound, and detecting whether the expression level or activity level of JARID2 or miR-155 in the cell is altered in the presence of the test compound.Type: GrantFiled: April 29, 2019Date of Patent: February 20, 2024Assignee: MARSHALL UNIVERSITY RESEARCH CORPORATIONInventors: Nalini Santanam, Kristeena Ray Wright, Sarah Brunty

Patent number: 8011528Abstract: A laterally expandable receptacle wherein a greater volume of items, such as trash, linen, laundry, recyclables, grain, and the like, may be contained as compared to conventional receptacles. Side walls and/or corners of the receptacle may comprise resilient expansion means allowing for beneficial lateral displacement. The resilient expansion means may be selected from a variety of structures including, at least one pleat, an accordion configuration, at least one slit, at least one aperture, an expandable material, an expandable material covering at least one aperture, flexible cords, and all legal equivalents thereof. The receptacle of the present invention may further comprise a pressure release means to eliminate a vacuum seal from forming between the receptacle and an optional replaceable liner therein. The receptacle of the present invention may still further comprise a stabilization means for providing a necessary stabilizing force against the receptacle during liner removal.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 2007Date of Patent: September 6, 2011Inventor: Ray Wright

Patent number: 7345621Abstract: A real-time signal processing engine robustly detects, localizes, tracks and classifies ground targets based on radar signals from a multistatic radar system. The system differentiates between different targets based on an optimized cost function, which can include the total returned normalized pulse energy. The local transmitters/receivers can communicate with each other via the transmitted radar signals.Type: GrantFiled: February 26, 2007Date of Patent: March 18, 2008Assignee: BBN Technologies Corp.Inventors: John M. Bourdelais, Ernest Scott Stickles, William Ray Wright, David Earl Norris, Michael Anthony Tiberio, Gary Dana Butler

Patent number: 7080023Abstract: A system and method of craftsmanship rating of vehicles includes the steps of receiving customer data relating to craftsmanship for a vehicle and building a component/system database from the collected customer data. The method also includes the steps of rating the vehicle for craftsmanship based on component/system database to obtain an actual rating and setting a target rating for the vehicle based on the actual rating. The method includes the steps of identifying craftsmanship issues that resolve a gap from the actual rating to the target rating. The method further includes the steps of determining whether the identified craftsmanship issues will resolve the gap from the actual rating to the target rating.Type: GrantFiled: August 9, 2001Date of Patent: July 18, 2006Assignee: Ford Motor CompanyInventors: Barry Steven Grant, Dawn Gietzen, David Pericak, Ray Wright, II
