  • Patent number: 8745576
Abstract: A tiered service model for a digital multimedia contact center assigns an entering contact to an initial service tier based on routing criteria for the contact and may escalate or de-escalate the contact to a different service tier if the routing criteria chances. The routing criteria is initially determined based on a media type associated with the contact. The digital multimedia contact center contains a set of media routers, each of which passes a contact of a particular media type to a workflow engine which executes workflows to direct the processing of contacts at service tiers that require agent activity. Agents are allocated to contacts by a dynamic automate contact distributor and the appropriate media router is used to route the contact to an agent. The workflow engine also executes workflows for agents to control the allocation of agents to contacts.

  • Patent number: 8551597
Abstract: An airflow pad is disclosed that includes first and second external facings of paper material extending between edge portions of the panel and having interior portions disposed remotely from the edge portions. A low-density core of paper material disposed between and associating the external facings to provide stiffness to the panel. The pad defines a network of channels open at least one of the edge portions and at the interior portion of the first facing allowing airflow therebetween.

  • Patent number: 6536654
Abstract: A package for at least one bottle comprises a carton, a honeycomb core within the carton for surrounding the bottle, as well as bottom and top honeycomb pads abutting the honeycomb core. The honeycomb core is severed from its outer skin through the honeycomb material to its inner skin so that it may be folded to form an enclosure about the bottle. The bottle has the same height as the honeycomb core and when covered at its ends by the honeycomb pads positioned beneath and on top of the honeycomb core provides an assembly which completely fills the carton. In one embodiment of the invention, four bottles are contained within a square carton and are held in place by two G-shaped honeycomb core portions which cooperate to form four compartments for holding the bottles. In another embodiment, six bottles are packaged in a rectangular carton with the honeycomb core substantially formed by a continuous honeycomb panel severed to allow folding into six compartments.

  • Patent number: 6007469
Abstract: A method for forming a honeycomb protector for protecting the corners, edges or other surfaces of articles during shipping of such articles comprising self-locking honeycomb panels. In one embodiment, the protector includes first and second unitary panels separated by a channel about which the panels are foldable. The first panel includes a lip which fits into a slit in the second panel to connect and lock the first and second panels in position.

  • Patent number: 5950835
Abstract: A honeycomb protector for protecting the corners and edges of articles during shipping comprising a honeycomb panel foldable between a flat position and a folded position. The panel includes a honeycomb core sandwiched between top and bottom face sheets. The top face sheet includes a slitted segment defining a hinge about which the panel can be folded. In the folded position, the panel includes an impact absorbing corner comprising a region of the panel where the partition walls of the honeycomb core converge towards the top face sheet and the hollow-cell faces of the core abutting the top face sheet are laterally flattened and compressed.
