Abstract: A horizontal feed storage system may comprise an elongated feed container having a length and a width, wherein the length is at least ten times greater than the width. The elongated feed container may have a fill opening through which the feed is deposited into the elongated feed container and a feed removal opening through which feed is removed from the elongated feed container. The elongated feed container may be movable. The elongated feed container may include multiple conveyance mechanisms disposed within the elongated feed container. The multiple conveyance mechanisms may include a first conveyance mechanism and a second conveyance mechanism, wherein the first conveyance mechanism may displace feed by moving the feed in a first direction away from the fill opening, and/or the second conveyance mechanism may displace feed by moving the feed in a second direction toward the feed removal opening.

The center pivot structure may have a center pivot axis. The field may be a poultry and/or livestock grazing field. The circular grazing system for poultry and/or livestock may include an enclosure for containing poultry and/or livestock. The enclosure may extend generally radially from the center pivot structure to a circumference of the field. The enclosure may be rotably coupled to the center pivot structure such that the enclosure rotates around the center pivot axis.

Abstract: A process for preparing an intermediate compound of formula (II) where X is as defined in the specification, R1 is haloalkyl, alkyl, alkenyl, cycloalkyl, carboxyalkyl, alkoxycarbonylalkyl, aryl or arylalkyl; R2, R3, R4 and R5 are organic groups as defined in the specification, which process comprises aromatisation of a compound of formula (III) where R1, R2, R3, n, X and R5 are as defined in relation to formula (II) and R4? is a group R4 or a precursor group thereof, and thereafter if necessary or desired, carrying out one or more of the following steps: (i) removing any hydroxy-protecting groups R; (ii) converting a precursor group R4? to a group R4, or where R4? is a group R4, converting it to a different such group. Compounds obtained are useful intermediates for example in the preparation of fulvestrant. Novel intermediates are also claimed.

Abstract: A system and method for managing household subsystems, including a controller having a microprocessor, a memory, and a power source; the controller connected to at least one sensor that is constructed and configured to monitor a catastrophic indicator relating to a corresponding at least one household subsystem; wherein one of the at least one household subsystems is an internal household plumbing system and wherein the catastrophic indicator is a flow sensor set to detect flow above about 0.4 gal/min for a predetermined time period, substantially immediately following which automatic deactivation of the internal household plumbing system by the controller is performed to prevent catastrophic flooding of the household.

Abstract: A remote control dummy launcher or bumper launcher for training retrieving dogs, incorporating a power handle of the type designed for explosive release of gas from a blank cartridge for launching a bumper or dummy mounted on the launching arm of the power handle. The launcher includes housing means supporting the power handle, a stable base for directing the power handle at a desired angle, trigger means mounted to the housing for engaging, controlling or releasing the firing pin actuating means of the power handle whereby a dummy mounted on the launching arm may be explosively launched. Radio receiver output circuit means for controlling a power supply to said launcher and for sequentially firing a plurality of such launchers are also described.
