  • Patent number: 5996271
Abstract: A fishing lure in the general shape of a salamander includes a head portion, a tapered neck portion, a body portion, a pair of front legs, a pair of rear legs, and a tail portion. The lure contains a hollow interior chamber which provides buoyancy and communicates with a hole through which air bubbles are allowed to escape, thereby providing sensory enticement to fish. Each leg and the tail portion include a thin flat portion which moves in a lifelike oscillating fashion when excited by water flowing past the lure, thereby providing additional sensory enticement to fish.

  • Patent number: 5943811
Abstract: The disclosure describes a fishing lure comprised of a yielding synthetic compound in a generally cylindrical and somewhat conical shape with the elliptical arcs at the ends and at the center ring. The arcs create distinctions representative of the natural characteristics of an earthworm. From the tail to a point behind the center ring there is an internal aerosphere which creates a bouyancy of the rearward portion of the lure. The aerosphere displaces the synthetic compound used to manufacture the lure creating a difference in density between the head and tail. This allows the lures' head and tail to rest at different levels, which increases its visibility. The aerosphere additionally creates an angular wall in the lure from the outside diameter of the lure to the aerosphere. This provides a greater flexibility of the lure, therefore increasing its action in the water. The tail is open at the end which allows, when in use, the escape of very tiny air bubbles thus assimilating a natural forage for fish.

  • Patent number: 5157856
Abstract: The disclosure describes a device which enables the retrieval of fishing lures from entanglement with submerged objects. It is a ringed device with a fissure located at a right angle from an aperture to which a twine is attached. This fissure allows attachment of the device to the fishing line, yet is constructed to prevent inadvertent disengagement with the fishing line. The device, at the aperture, is attached to a twine which is held on the water surface. The device descends the fishing line to the lure by attachment at the fissure. Upon engagement with the lure, the device is pulled from the water surface by the twine, thus effecting the lure retrieval.
