    Abstract: Disclosed is a coupling for a direct connection of supply tubing to a faucet assembly. The direct connection includes a barbed fitting that is integrally formed into the valve body to produce a one-piece unit. The integration of the fitting to the valve body is accomplished through either spin welding, sonic welding or hot-plate welding.
