Abstract: The present invention extends to methods, systems, and computer program products for an Equity Based Incentive Compensation (EBIC) plan. In an EBIC plan, a company awards restricted shares of their stock to employees as incentive compensation. The restricted shares are transferred to a separate holding vehicle. Loans are provided to the holding vehicle by a third party lender. Loans are secured by a part or all of the employee' shares transferred to the separate holding vehicle. Employees may or may not elect to include their restricted shares as taxable income at award date. The holding vehicle uses loan proceeds to reimburse payroll withholdings for employees electing to include their restricted shares as taxable income at award date or to buy additional unrestricted shares of the company's stock. Upon vesting of the restricted shares, one or more unrestricted shares are sold for loan repayment and/or to satisfy further tax liabilities.

Abstract: An equity based incentive compensation plan is established by acquiring shares of an equity security by grant and by purchase using funds loaned by a third party. The risk of the loan may be abated using various strategies including employing a forward contract between the lender and a third party. The amount of the loan repayment amount may reflect the cost to the lender or entering into the forward contract with the third party. The computer system of the invention manages plans including calculating the ratio of a plan's loan repayment amount(s) to the value of the plan's shares that are collateral of the loan.

Abstract: A system and process linking an external computer with a system of a lending institution, a market information vendor or brokerage company, to provide for simultaneous tracking of one or more investments by a Plan to ensure each Plan's investment provides adequate collateral for the lender. Further, the system provides access to Plan component values via electronic means to the various parties of interest; the Plan participant, the Plan administrator, the Plan lender, and the Plan sponsor. Finally, the system creates forecasts of a Plan using assumptions to enable a reader of the illustration to understand the employee participant and employer sponsor benefits and costs of the program.

Abstract: A system computing performance statistics for an investment fund or similar investment vehicle, computing a minimum investment performance corridor guarantee provided by an underwriter, and computing the amount of reimbursement due, if any, from an underwriter if the investment is liquidated at a point in time. The system then illustrates underwriter risk exposure and potential investor reimbursements under different fact combinations.

Abstract: A computerized indenture plan allocation determination, management and reporting system and method is disclosed. The system determines allocations relating to an indenture plan, manages indenture plan assets and reports allocation information to an administration system. The system includes a controller and a number of user workstations. The controller is coupled to administration system. The controller receives indenture plan information electronically transmitted from the administration system. The user workstations, also coupled to the controller, electronically transmits expense information to the controller. The controller, upon receipt of the expense information, determines allocation information for the indenture plan, determines management information as a function of the indenture plan information, and electronically transmits the allocation information and the management information to the administration system and/or some or all of the user workstations.

The digital computer is programmed to provide financial analytical data, incorporating the requirements of a Financial Accounting Standards Board standard, such as Statement 87, 106, 112, or the like, for use in evaluating the use of life insurance as an investment in connection with an indenture plan for prefunding benefit liabilities.
