Publication number: 20210409245Abstract: A method and apparatus for signal equalization are provided. Multiple decision components are arranged in a sequence, beginning with a history portion and ending with a decode portion. Each decision component performs a decode decision on a symbol. Decode decisions are passed forward to other decision components where they can be used to compensate for intersymbol interference. Decode decision output by the history portion are otherwise discarded, while decode decisions output by the decode portion are output as a decoded signal. In the next decode cycle, input previously provided to the decode portion is again provided to the history portion, in a sliding, overlapping block manner.Type: ApplicationFiled: June 29, 2020Publication date: December 30, 2021Applicant: HUAWEI TECHNOLOGIES CO., LTD.Inventors: James Raymond BAILEY, Mohammad Hossein SHAKIBA

Patent number: 9956846Abstract: A blower unit for a vehicle heating, venting, and air conditioning (HVAC) unit is disclosed. The blower unit includes a case member that defines at least one exterior air intake aperture and at least one interior air intake aperture. The blower unit also includes a sealing member, a first door, and a second door. The first and second doors can move independent of each other. The first and second doors can be positioned in a mixture position to allow air flow into the blower unit through both the exterior and interior air intake apertures. The first door, in the mixture position, is sealed against the sealing member. As such, the first door and the sealing member cooperate to reduce air flow out of the blower unit through the interior air intake aperture.Type: GrantFiled: June 22, 2015Date of Patent: May 1, 2018Assignee: DENSO International America, Inc.Inventor: Raymond Bailey

Publication number: 20170272732Abstract: Embodiments herein describe a display device for performing wavelength multiplex visualization (WMV). The display device includes a display screen that includes a plurality of pixels where each pixel contains at least two discrete emitters that generate electromagnetic radiation at a certain wavelength. By controlling the luminance of the respective emitter, the display device sets the color of the pixel. When performing WMV, the display device uses the pixels to generate a left eye display frame and a right eye display frame. Generally, the left eye frame is generated using a different set of wavelengths than the right eye frame. The user can wear special glasses that have interference filters in the lenses which permit only one of the wavelengths to pass through. As a result, each eye of the user sees only one of the display frames, thereby creating the 3D effects.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 17, 2016Publication date: September 21, 2017Inventors: Paul Raymond Bailey, Thomas Tracey TAIT, Mark A. Publication number: 20100070198Abstract: The present invention provides a system and method for monitoring and reporting the controlled and uncontrolled emissions of hydrogen gas from an end use application such as a hydrogen cooled electrical generator. The system first determines a quantity hydrogen produced by a hydrogen conversion device from a first operating parameter. The quantity of hydrogen released in a controlled manner is determined from a second operating parameter. The amount of uncontrolled hydrogen emissions may then be calculated from the produced hydrogen and controlled release values. A report detailing the type and amounts of hydrogen emissions may then be created.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 19, 2009Publication date: March 18, 2010Applicant: PROTON ENERGY SYSTEMSInventors: A.
