Abstract: A scoop for the collection of animal refuse comprising a housing having an interior hollow containing an opposing entry and egress opening, the housing having a top wall, opposing side guide walls and a bottom wall arranged adjacent the entry and egress openings, with the bottom wall having an interior scooping surface with an upwardly curved scraping lip with a straight scraping edge for scooping animal waste onto an interior scooping surface of the bottom wall and the egress opening being surrounded by a mounting shoulder extending outwardly from the housing, which is arranged to accept a mounting collar for removably mounting a pliant collection bag to it.
