  • Patent number: 5009314
Abstract: The invention concerns assemblies or displays of plastic bottle carriers. Bottle carriers are assembled for palletization or display on an assembly plate having upstanding prongs which fit into corresponding sockets in the base of adjacent bottle carriers. The prongs and sockets are such that when the assembly is subjected to lateral pressure, for example, by palletizing machinery each prong is gripped in its socket so that the bottle carriers and the plate are an assembled unit. Preferably when no under lateral pressure, the prongs are freely slidable in the socket.

  • Patent number: 4986416
Abstract: A carrier for carrying a predetermined number, generally six, bottles. The carrier is made from two parts: a stiff plastic frame and a flexible plastic bag. The frame is made up of a rectangular collar, and a lattice which divides the frame into a network of two rows, each row having three compartments. The frame is also provided with a handle connected to the top of center lattice divider between the two rows. The bag is rectilinear, and the cross-section of its open end matches the collar of the frame. When assembled, the top, open end of the bag is glued or welded to the collar and hangs from the frame. The assembled unit thus provides a plastic carrier, with a handle into which can fit six bottles. The corners of the collar and lattice network of the frame can be hinged so that an empty carrier can be made compact by collapsing the carrier on itself.

  • Patent number: 4928841
Abstract: A plastic tray for the storage, shipping and display of pop bottles. The tray is an open box with pillars attached to the inside bottom of the box. Bottle compartments are thus defined by the box walls and the pillars. The inside of the box walls and pillar sides of each compartment are molded to match the contour of a bottle to be inserted into the compartment. The pillar and box walls are flexible enough to allow the insertion of slightly oversized bottles, but resilient enough to provide a snug fit of each bottle within each compartment.
