Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads and methods to manufacture golf club heads are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head may include a body portion having a face portion and a cavity at the face portion. A face insert may be coupled to the cavity and may include a framework formed from a first material and a matrix formed from a second material and integrated with the framework. The face insert may define a front strike surface configured to impact a golf ball. The front strike surface may include one or more distinct surface areas defined by the first material and one or more distinct surface areas defined by the second material. The first material and the second material may have different material properties. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.
