  • Patent number: 11810219
Abstract: A virtual reality encounter system is described. A first surrogate supporting at least one first camera that captures image data from a first physical location and a second surrogate supporting at least one second camera that captures second image data from the first physical location. Aliasing substitution processing has a computing system including a processor receive the first image data and detect an image of the second surrogate in the first image data and replace the image data of the second surrogate in the first physical location, with image data of a user in the first physical location to form a transformed image that substitutes the image data of the user for the image data of the second surrogate.

  • Patent number: 10758140
Abstract: An arrangement may include a first system provided for processing physiological data representative of a beating heart. The first system may be adapted to execute a process for using at least one pattern to detect a notable finding in the physiological data and for sending the notable finding to a second system. The second system may be adapted to execute a process for analyzing the notable finding, for determining at least one new pattern to send to the first system, and for sending the at least one new pattern to the first system. The at least one new pattern may also include a rule that includes a set of conditions and an action to perform if the set of conditions is met.

  • Patent number: 10741167
Abstract: Controlling a reading machine while reading a document to a user by receiving an image of a document, accessing a knowledge base that provides data that identifies sections in the document and processing user commands to select a section of the document. The reading machine applies text-to-speech to a text file that corresponds to the selected section of the document, to read the selected section of the document aloud to the user.

  • Publication number: 20190224050
Abstract: In one aspect, the invention is a sleep device. The sleep-aide device includes a soft housing adapted to be disposed over a user's head, a microphone positioned on the housing to receive an ambient sound signal, a suppression circuit that receives the ambient sound signal and produces a suppression sound signal, and a set of transducers, arranged in the soft housing, which receive the suppression sound signal. The suppression sound signal has a magnitude and phase to substantially cancel the ambient sound signal at the user's ear. In another aspect, the sleep-aide device includes a microphone to receive an ambient sound signal, a suppression circuitry, which receives the ambient sound signal and transmits a suppression sound signal based on the ambient sound signal, and a transducer which receives the suppression sound signal, which has a magnitude and phase to substantially cancel the ambient sound signal at the user's ear.
