  • Patent number: 11608729
Abstract: A drilling system for drilling a wellbore that includes a drill string rotatable in a first direction. The system also includes a bottom hole assembly (BHA) that includes: a drill bit, a housing with a bore, a first fluid-driven motor in fluid communication with the bore and connected with and configured to rotate a portion of the BHA in a second direction opposite the first direction, a second fluid-driven motor in fluid communication with the bore and connected with and configured to rotate the drill bit, a valve in fluid communication with a vent including a flow path arranged to direct fluid away from any one or both of the fluid-driven motors, and a controller in communication with and configured to adjust a drilling parameter of the BHA by controlling the valve to adjust a flow rate of the fluid output from the valve into the vent.

  • Publication number: 20210182452
Abstract: Systems and methods for automatically generating cutting lists and panel layouts for roofing projects are disclosed. An exemplary system includes a job management service configured to receive user input for material requirements and store the requirements in a job data file. Prior to processing the requirements, the job management service verifies that a roof data file defines a roof geometry. The job data file and roof data file are moved to an active watch folder, wherein a three-dimensional (3D) roof model is automatically generated by a roof generation engine. The roof generation engine automatically generates cut lists and panel layouts based on mapping the material requirements to the 3D roof model.

  • Patent number: 9556677
Abstract: A directional drilling system for use in drilling a wellbore can include a bit deflection assembly with a bit axis deflection mechanism which applies a deflecting force to a shaft connected to a drill bit. The deflecting force may deflect the shaft, without being reacted between the deflection mechanism and the drill bit. The deflecting force may deflect the shaft between the drill bit and a radial bearing which maintains the shaft centered in the bit deflection assembly. The deflection mechanism may both angularly deflect and laterally displace the bit axis in the deflection mechanism.

  • Patent number: 5497976
Abstract: A lower block assembly for a thermochemical scarfing apparatus which comprises a base member and an extension releasably joined to the base member. The extension includes a continuous slot across its longitudinal length for delivering a stream of fuel gas onto the metal workpiece during the scarfing operation, and the base member and extension include a gas delivery system for delivering fuel gas to the slot at a substantially uniform rate along the entire longitudinal length of the slot and so as to achieve a uniform scarfing operation and a smooth scarfed surface across the width of the workpiece.

  • Patent number: 4503671
Abstract: An apparatus and method for force feeding air to the carburetor of an internal engine. The apparatus includes a fitting for diverting a portion of the pressurized emission control air, the fitting positioned in the hose supplying pressurized air from an air pump of an emission control system to the exhaust system of a vehicle. The diverted air, after passing through an air filter, is introduced into the interior of the carburetor air filter housing radially inwardly from the air filter element within the housing. The pressurized air then flows through the carburetor to thereby enhance uniform distribution of the air-fuel mixture to the cylinders of the engine. Because the output of the air pump varies with the speed of the engine, higher pressure air is furnished at higher speeds of the engine. The furnished air can be pre-heated to further enhance vaporization of the fuel.
