A number of subsections are provided, including a treatment subsection containing an exhaust gas treatment device for treating exhaust gas. The treatment subsection is designed to be connectable to an inlet subsection, an outlet subsection, or other subsections in a manner that allows the positions, both longitudinally and rotationally, of the treatment subsection relative to adjacent subsections to be adjusted as required during assembly. This permits an infinite number of length and/or clocking configurations for the aftertreatment system to be manufactured.

    Abstract: A compressed digital audio signal is transmitted from an audio source along a connection wire to an audio receiver. The digital audio signal can encode digital audio data having different sampling frequencies, frames sizes, and other information. The audio receiver that receives the digital audio signal can decode and convert the compressed digital audio signal into multiple synchronized analog signals, which are used to drive multiple speakers. The audio receiver may also synchronize the audio data with associated video data so that the audio playback and video playback are “in sync”, despite delay introduced by the audio signal decoding at the audio receiver.

    Abstract: An active silencer for a vehicle exhaust system that is constructed so that it can be hung underneath the vehicle without altering the vehicle. The silencer has a chamber isolated from the exhaust flow. A duct spans longitudinally through the chamber. One or more loudspeakers (e.g. 2 or 4 loudspeakers) are mounted on the duct side-by-side. The loudspeakers share a common tuning volume within the duct which is ported to a mixing apparatus where the canceling acoustic wave mixes with noise from the exhaust flow before the exhaust noise exits to the atmosphere.
