  • Patent number: 10880968
Abstract: Methods and systems for improved control of dimmable, white color tunable, multiple channel LED based illumination systems are described herein. The methods and systems described herein improve the utilization of LEDs comprising a multiple channel white light LED based illumination system, along with improved control of brightness and color of emitted light. In one aspect, a multiple channel electrical power driver includes an independent current controlled Direct Current/Direct Current (DC/DC) electrical power converter electrically coupled to each LED string having a different color output. The use of independent DC/DC power converters enables current to be supplied to each LED channel simultaneously up to the rated maximum continuous operating current level in each channel. Thus, the sum of the current provided to each LED channel exceeds the rated maximum continuous operating current of each of the LED channels.

  • Patent number: 7865443
Abstract: An Improved Method and System for Electronic Data Sales and Distribution over Wide Area Networks is disclosed. The preferred system and method divides the software or other data to be distributed into a separate licensing module and a program module, with each module being distributed separately. The preferred licensing module can be distributed by an e-commerce server over a wide-area network, while the program module is distributed by a separate server computer over the wide-area network (or other method). Furthermore, the software or other electronic data can be updated easily by simply updating the single repository of the program module, while leaving the licensing module(s) at each e-commerce server unchanged.

  • Publication number: 20040198226
Abstract: A Method and System for Dynamically Managing Wireless Communications System Protocols is disclosed. Also disclosed is a method and system that automatically detects and enables the most advanced Stack and Application Sets available on a pair of devices in wireless communications with one another. The preferred device includes detector means in wireless communication with the other device or devices for detecting the configuration of the application set of the other device(s). The preferred device further includes selector means for enabling the optimum communication protocol stack responsive to the application set configuration of the other device. Furthermore, the preferred device enables the optimum internal application set responsive to the application set of the other device. Still further, the device commences (and re-establishes broken) communications using a default communication protocol stack and application set.
