Abstract: A network enables monitors, trading platforms and libraries to share information about customers' trading activities and locally recalculate customer trading limits resulting from these trading activities. A low-latency interface between a customer server, such as a server that employs algorithmic trading methods to generate buy and sell orders for securities, and a brokerage server that validates such securities trading orders is optimized for handling the securities trading orders. The interface supports a trading command set specifically designed for orders from customer trading application programs, and the interface formats received trading commands into compact messages that are sent over a high-speed communication link to the brokerage server. The interface receives order acknowledgement messages and the like from the brokerage server and invokes callback routines in the customer trading application program to report status information.

Abstract: A post-trade monitor receives feedback in the form of drop copy messages from an exchange server and validates orders placed with the exchange server by a sponsored access trading platform shortly after the orders have been placed. If a recently placed order is found to violate a rule or regulation, the monitor instructs the trading platform to change to a more restrictive trading mode, such as to cease placing all orders or certain types of orders, at least until certain parameters are met. A library provides an interface in a sponsored access trading platform between a client application program that generates proposed orders and an exchange server. The library provides pre-trade validation of the orders and sends only validated orders to the exchange server. A network enables monitors, trading platforms and libraries to share information about customers' trading activities and locally recalculate customer trading limits resulting from these trading activities.

Several levels of more detailed information about applications, including information as to individual threads, is available. The problem determination also includes receiving instructions from an administrator to establish an account for a user, associating one or more servers with the account, and providing access to the corresponding user only to the associated servers. Searches may be conducted for strings and requests, and identified strings and requests may be sorted by a variety of criteria.

Abstract: Brokerage transactions servers and related methods are provided having low latency. In a first embodiment of the invention there is provided a method of processing exchange transaction information for exchange brokerage purposes in an inbound digital message stream in a first protocol dialect. One embodiment utilizes canonical FIX messages for processing purposes. A related embodiment includes, for each message in the stream, storing in memory each successive change made to the message and any metadata created by the foregoing processes; and in an encapsulation process, accessing memory and creating an encapsulated version of the message that includes: (i) the message in original form prior to the receiver process, (ii) the metadata, and (iii) each successive change made to the message by any of the foregoing processes.

Abstract: A method for management of performance of computer systems and applications includes prompting the user to select information for monitoring, monitoring the performance of applications running on servers, displaying data, and prompting users to input performance adjustments. A user is prompted to select a server or server group, a resource, and a threshold or condition for notification, and in response a system compares the value or quality of the parameter to the threshold or condition, and provides a notification to the user in the event that the parameter reaches the threshold or condition. A method includes the steps of providing the user with performance information, receiving from the user a request for more specific performance information, and providing more detailed performance information.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a power management apparatus and method for devices comprising an interface module that includes receivers for receiving input signals from a device, an auto power management unit coupled with receivers for determining a state of the input signals, and outputting a power management signal based on the determined state of the input signal. Further provided is an electronic unit coupled with the auto power management unit for driving driver units, with the power management signal toggling ON/OFF a status of the electronic unit based on the determined state of the input signal to thereby reduce power utilization.

Abstract: Device, apparatus and methods for implementing a direct address mode to directly access registers by passing an indirect interface includes a display controller. A plurality of direct access registers for bypassing indirect interface is defined within the display controller. The display controller includes a bus interface having a first pin that is configured to activate the direct address mode and a second pin that configured to identify one of the direct access registers. The first pin in conjunction with the second pin provides a direct address mode through which the non-direct access registers may be directly accessed bypassing the indirect interface so that register index cycle, when accessing memory, may be avoided.

Preferably, responsive to the comparison, an indication signal is generated for interrupting the host.

Abstract: Data throughput of the serial host interface is improved by combining command and register address data into a single index word to be transmitted through the serial host interface. The least significant bit (LSB) of the index word specifies the command and the remainder of the index word specifies the register address. Thus, transmission of just two words is required to transmit each of a single write data word and a single read data word. Additionally, the serial host interface provides for elimination of the dummy access word as required when performing a read transmission using a conventional serial host interface protocol.

Abstract: A graphics controller for animating a tiled background is described. The graphics controller includes a host interface for communicating with an external host CPU and a plurality of registers in communication with the host interface. Logic circuitry is configured to select between tile image data and main image data when passing pixel values to a display controller. The logic responds to values stored in the registers to for positioning the main image within the display. A method carried out by the graphics controller and a method for using the graphics controller are also described.

Abstract: Provided is a method and apparatus for dynamic cross fading. Specifically, an embedded system can display an image produced from a blend of other images. Initially, a first image and a second image are stored in a buffer in a display controller. Then, the display controller extracts pixels from corresponding locations in the first image and the second image. The pixels are combined with weights associated with each image to perform the cross fade calculation. Consequently, the result from the cross fade calculation is transmitted to a display unit connected to the display controller for viewing. The result can also be fetched during a refresh of a panel in the display unit. In either case, the result is transmitted to a display pipe during dynamic cross fading. Thus, any images stored in the buffer remain unchanged.

Abstract: A method for converting between color space formats initiates with identifying a first color space format. Then, both an offset parameter and a scale parameter are selected. The offset parameter and the scale parameter are associated with the first color space format. A conversion matrix configured to convert values associated with the first color space format to a second color space format is identified. When to apply the offset parameter and the scale parameter in relation to application of the conversion matrix is determined, i.e., to the input for the conversion matrix or to the output from the conversion matrix.
