Abstract: There is disclosed a protective head gear comprising a helmet having a brim positioned above the eyes of the wearer, a face protector covering at least a portion of the face of the wearer, and an adapter comprising an elongate cross member for securing the face protector to the helmet along the brim. There is also disclosed an adapter for attaching a face protector having a pair of strap receiving slots molded therein to a helmet, comprising a cross member secured to the helmet, and a pair of support arms for insertion into the strap receiving slots. Additionally, there is disclosed face protective gear for use with a helmet having a brim positioned above the eyes of the wearer, comprising a cross member comprising a lip molded along an upper edge, and a pair of goggles depending from the cross member When the cross member is secured to the helmet, the lip overlaps the brim.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a protective mask adapted to be worn by a person engaging in the game of paintball. The mask has a main body to cover the front, sides, mouth and ears of a user's face. It also has a removable flexible transparent lens that locks into a rigid support frame formed in the mask. The mask also has a strap to securely support the mask on a wearer's head, and a removable face engaging element provided to accommodate a face of the wearer. This face engagement element evenly engages around the wearer's face in a cushioned manner because its face engagement portion is made of foam that engages the user's face along the entire perimeter of the face engagement element. The face engagement element is securely locked onto the mask by locking clips that fit into openings on both sides of the face engagement element.

The invention also comprises a strap supporting the mask on a wearer's head and a face engaging portion comprising a gasket-shaped element. The gasket-shaped element is provided to securely support and anchor the mask on the wearer's face in the forehead, temple and nose areas. It is made of a resilient rubber-like material having a sufficient rigidity to withstand a high impact of projectiles.

Abstract: The eyewear for industrial use comprises a deformable arcuate lens with a pair of temple receiving entries at opposite ends thereof, a deformable brow frame shaped to fit the upper edge of the lens so as to be engageable therewith and a pair of temple pieces, each piece being hingedly connected to a respective opposite end of the brow frame. Assembly of the temple pieces and brow frame to the lens is easily effected by inserting the temple pieces in the entries of the lens and by snap engagement of a mid-section of the brow frame to the upper edge of the lens. The assembly is made of plastic material so that it may be resiliently deformed to adapt to the various sizes of head of users.

The hinge members are adapted to slidably engage the lens engaging members and to be connected therewith for pivotal movement about a horizontal axis. The pair of temple pieces each have a portion adapted to engage a hinge member and to be connected therewith for pivotal movement about a substantially vertical axis. The lens engaging member and the hinge member have cooperating angular positioning elements so that the members may be adjusted relative to one another to enable the lens to adopt various angular position relative to the temple pieces.
