  • Patent number: 9527395
Abstract: An access arrangement for a power system of an electrified vehicle includes a housing body, at least one electrical conductor, a passageway, and a closure. The electrical conductor passes through the housing body. The passageway extends inwardly from an opening on the housing body and intersects a portion of the electrical conductor within the housing body. The closure is positioned proximate to the opening. The closure is adjustable between a plurality of different configurations. The closure is adjustable between a closed configuration and an open configuration. The closure closes the passageway while in the closed configuration. The opening is at least partially exposed when the closure is in the open configuration. The closure is biased to return to the closed configuration from the open configuration. The passageway and closure are configured to cooperatively facilitate access for testing the electrical conductor.

  • Patent number: 5339925
Abstract: A lift for motor vehicles using hydraulic cylinders powered by a remote electrical hydraulic pump. The hydraulic cylinders lift pistons having an upper distal area adaptable for receiving the payload vehicle. The pistons are rigidly linked to each other at their lower proximal ends by an equalizer beam. The upper distal area of each piston includes a mounting plate for accepting a lifting platform for bearing the payload vehicle. The pistons of the lift raise the payload vehicle using the hydraulic cylinders in connection with a series of chains and pulleys. The pulleys are mounted on the hydraulic cylinders. The chains are attached from an upper chain anchor at the top of the lift structure, to the pulleys on the hydraulic cylinder, and to a lower chain anchor on the equalizer beam. Each hydraulic cylinder is contained within a sleeve fixedly mounted to a cylinder mount post.

  • Patent number: 5056850
Abstract: A motor vehicle molding assembly for concealing the space between the edges of a window panel and a door which are mounted to a pillar. The molding assembly has a retainer mounted to the pillar. The retainer has a first projection projecting generally perpendicular to the pillar, with a hook formed at the end of the first projection. A dual durometer molding has a rigid portion having a groove with a catch portion adapted to receive and engage the hook of the retainer to secure the molding to the door pillar. A pliable portion encases the rigid portion and has a pair of legs depending towards and engaging the retainer mounted to the pillar for biasing the dual durometer molding away from the retainer and maintaining the engagement of the hook with the catch portion. A continuous flexible lip is extruded integral with the pliable portion and bridges across the top of the legs and the interposed rigid portion.
