    Abstract: A simple and effective means is provided to control sand blast or like particulate media flow in the cleaning and scouring of workpieces to insure substantially uniform cleaning. To this end, microwave energy is directed at the particle flow, and energy reflection therefrom effects desired opening, closing, and intermediate control of sand blast flow means, as a valve interposed in the blast conduit.
