  • Patent number: 4666119
Abstract: Extendible support frameworks having the ability to contract from an extended position into a collapsed position wherein the upper mounting plate is lowered and laterally displaced with respect to the lower mounting plate. The frameworks include at least one articulated leg having a first part and a second part joined by an articulation pivot. The first part of the articulated leg is pivotally connected to the upper mounting plate. The second part of the articulated leg is pivotally connected to the lower mounting plate. At least one or more swing arms are pivotally connected to the upper mounting plate at one end and pivotally connected to the lower mounting plate at the opposite end. An interconnection element extends from the swing arms so as to slidably engage with the first part of the articulated leg.
