    Abstract: A method of containing a liquid or semi-liquid hazardous waste found in an organic matrix, wherein the liquid or semi-liquid hazardous waste is mixed with combinations of calcium chloride, calcium formate, glycerine, pentaerythritol, 1,2-propanediol and pluraonic (Synperonic), water, and a cementitious material such as Portland cement, fly ash, or kiln dust. These various mixtures of chemicals, moisture levels and cementitious material solidify to immobilize the constituents in the hazardous waste to reduce the extractability of the constituents from the resulting mixture.
