  • Patent number: 10562426
Abstract: A head restraint is provided for a seat for use with a motor vehicle. The head restraint includes a base configured to be attached to the seat, and a main portion configured to be positioned between the base and a head of a seat occupant when the base is attached to the seat and the seat is mounted in the vehicle. The head restraint further includes at least one movement mechanism associated with at least one of the base and the main portion and configured to move at least part of the main portion laterally or upwardly and downwardly relative to the base.

  • Patent number: 9914396
Abstract: An extendable ladder with hinge brackets specifically designed for the purpose of a person to have easier and safer access to a recreational vehicle roof. RV's have a permanently attached ladder on the rear of the vehicle that has to be climbed vertically, straight up which defies gravity. The hand rails and steps are small therefore making people feel very insecure and unsafe when climbing it. This invention overcomes that obstacle by giving people a firm ladder that reaches to the ground at an angle which makes it very easy to climb. The hinge bracket design creates a pivot affect that allows the two section extendable ladder to swing out at the bottom and extend downward to the ground, then the lower ladder can slide back up into the ladder rails and is positioned back against the RV.

  • Patent number: 7909407
Abstract: A vehicle seat comprises a seat bottom with a frame with a slot or a pivotal connection. A seat back has a frame with the other of the slot and the pivotal connection to cooperate with the seat back for collapsing the seat back upon the seat bottom. A receiver is mounted to one of the seat bottom or the seat back with a first locking component and an insert is mounted to the other with a second locking component. The seat back is assembled to the seat bottom by pivoting the seat back to align the receiver and insert and translating the seat back along the slot until the insert is inserted into the receiver and the locking components are locked. The vehicle seat connection permits the seat bottom and seat back to be fabricated at separate facilities and then shipped to an assembly facility.

  • Patent number: 5072518
Abstract: A method of attaching a female element having an annular riveting portion to a panel and the installation apparatus. The method includes driving a punch through the female element into a panel supported on a die member forming an unsupported cone-shaped panel portion in the cavity of the die member. The punch includes an axially extending piercing end which pierces a small opening in the cone-shaped panel portion and an arcuate drawing portion which is driven against and through the panel opening, enlarging the panel opening. The annular riveting portion of the female element is then driven into the cone-shaped panel portion and through the panel opening, drawing the panel portion into a tubular shape engaging the external surface of the riveting portion. Finally, the riveting portion is driven against a center post of the die member, radially outwardly deforming the free end of the riveting portion and forming a mechanical interlock with the tubular panel portion.
