  • Patent number: 4399582
Abstract: A toothbrush system is provided wherein a plurality of disposable heads may be inserted onto a disposable stem, allowing the use of a wide variety of specialized heads on both manually operated and power toothbrush handles. The system permits the head and stem designs to be custom tailored to the individual patients' needs in terms of mouth size, brushing comfort, dental and periodontal needs, as well as convenience both at home and away from home. The modular system also permits the patient to clean his teeth in a more aseptic manner than would otherwise be possible.

  • Patent number: 4209871
Abstract: A toothbrush has a bristle bearing head terminating the supporting stem thereof which extends from a handle. The head is disposed with its major axis at right angles to the length of the stem providing lateral extensions having bristles arranged for interproximal and free gingival margin engagement of both the maxillary and mandibular teeth. The supporting stem has a portion adjacent the head offset from a handle connecting end, the latter having a snap-in bearing connection with the handle providing easy separation and assembly and relative rotation of the handle with respect to the stem and head.

  • Patent number: 3975106
Abstract: In builders scaffolding of the kind in which cross members are connected to upright members by means of a wedge clamping member extending through apertures in opposed limbs of a C section bracket which is arranged to embrace a socket member secured to the upright member, whereby the wedge clamping member extends through the socket member and urges the limbs of the bracket into pressure engagement with the upright member, the upper limb of the bracket is formed with a depression adapted to enter the open upper end of the socket, whereby the bracket can be made more easily and cheaply than in the previous arrangement in which the upper limb was provided with external dependent lips to engage the outside of the socket member.

  • Patent number: 3954012
Abstract: A system for injecting sample fluids into an analyzer and processing the analysis data is disclosed. The system includes a fluid sample analyzer, a sample storage module for a number of fluid samples, an injection module by which samples are injected into the analyzer, and a control module for governing and sequencing the operation of the system. The storage module houses a plurality of sample-containing trays which can be loaded with samples remote from the system. A gas operated liquid purging system is employed for minimizing the quantity of residual material injected into the analyzer with successive samples, which system operates over a broad range of purging fluid viscosities using excessive amounts of fluid purge material.
