The method comprises providing a personalized data of the user to a computer system, generating a customized media list by the computer system for the user based on the personal data, and providing the customized media list to the user through the computer system where the customized media list represents a customized content and a customized advertising. A system is further disclosed and claimed for providing customized media list to a user over a data network.

Abstract: The present invention includes a method and system for providing home shopping programs to a viewer. An exemplary method includes receiving personalized data from a viewer, generating a home shopping program list that identifies a plurality of home shopping programs related to the personalized data, and transmitting the home shopping program list and a home shopping program that is listed in the program list to the viewer.

Each of the data processing devices has a processor and a memory coupled to the processor. A reward is provided for use of the processors. A job includes a plurality of tasks. The one task is stored in the memory of the one data processing device. The processor of the one data processing device retrieves the one task from the memory. The processor of the one data processing device performs the one task to define a result. A handheld device is capable of communicating with the data processing apparatus. Information is captured from the document and stored in the handheld device as document data. A communications path is established between the handheld device and the data processing apparatus. The document data is sent to the data processing apparatus through the communications path. Reference documents are provided. Each reference document has reference data stored in a memory. At least a portion of the received document data is extracted as scanning data. The reference data is retrieved from the memory. The scanning data is compared with the reference data. When the scanning data matches at least a portion of the reference data of one of the reference documents, the one reference document is selected as the identified document for forwarding to the recipient.

Abstract: The present invention provides a method and system for intelligently embedding advertisements into motion picture content. An embodiment of the method includes receiving personalized data and the identity of a motion picture from a user over a computer network; selecting an advertisement image having attributes that approximately match the personalized data; editing the motion picture to include the selected advertisement image; and transmitting the edited motion picture to the user over the computer network for viewing. An embodiment of the system includes a computer system for performing the above-described method.

Abstract: A method and system for providing a reward for displaying motion picture and audio content over a data network. Content is sent over the data network to a content display or playback device. Information identifying a viewer or listener of the content is preferably stored within the device. The content is played back on the display or playback device for a display period. Display verification data is then sent over the data network to a reward engine to verify that the content was played back for the display period. A reward is then provided to the viewer or listener.
