  • Patent number: 9938117
Abstract: A conductor lift attachment for a mobile boom or crane vehicle allowing temporarily support of power transmission conductors, e.g., for installation, repair, or maintenance operations. The conductor lift is hingedly attached to a boom tip so that the conductor lift is readily movable between deployed and stowed positions. The conductor lift comprises hinged arms that are selectively movable between opposed, parallel, and intermediate positions.

  • Patent number: 5460246
Abstract: An articulated aerial lift has a platform that is coupled to one end of a boom. The other end of the boom is connected to an upper end of a riser. An arm couples the lower end of the riser to a turret. As the arm moves between a lowermost position to a raised position, the riser rotates between a forward position to a backward position in order to reduce an overturning moment caused by the platform. Rotation of the riser can be accomplished with nonparallel arms.

  • Patent number: 4724924
Abstract: In an aerial lift having a lower boom, an upper boom, and a personnel carrier bucket attached to the upper boom, with the upper boom having an overcenter capability, wherein the upper boom can pivot from a folded position in a non-overcenter zone of operation past a center position and into an overcenter zone of operation, there is provided a control handle arrangement with first and second handles having control movements such that, when the operator is correctly positioned, the direction the bucket moves corresponds to the direction the respective handle moves for all zones of operation.

  • Patent number: 4461490
Abstract: An improved structural support for attaching an outrigger to a mobile equipment platform is provided that facilitates assembly of the outrigger and platform to the frame of a truck, and establishes a secure yet flexible joint between the outrigger and the platform. The structural support hereof preferably includes a pair of laterally spaced apart, vertically oriented, elongated brackets attached to and depending from the equipment platform for receiving an associated ground-engaging support member of the outrigger, and a bolt assembly for securing the outrigger to the brackets. The support may be employed to bolt an outrigger to a platform pre-positioned on the frame of a truck, with the truck frame interposed between the outrigger and the platform. Spacers may advantageously be interposed between the outrigger and the truck frame so that the structural support may readily accommodate attachment of an equipment platform and outrigger to truck frames of varying dimensions.
