  • Patent number: 4631007
Abstract: A pressure pump for fluids having a pressure member 12, 12a of generally circular periphery, means 14, 14a for moving the pressure member in an orbital motion about an axis of rotation, and a sleeve member 16, 16a made of a pair of hinged jaws 22, 22a positionable about the pressure member and spaced for receiving and retaining flexible tubing 18, 18a in an annular space between the pressure member and the sleeve member with the tubing surrounding the pressure member for pumping of fluids through the tubing. In accordance with this invention the jaws define end surfaces which abut together in the closed position having slots 34, 34a defined through the end surfaces communicating between the annular space and the outside to receive lengths of the flexible tubing occupying the annular space and extending into and out of the annular space through the slots.
    Type: Grant

  • Patent number: 4504200
Abstract: A pressure pump for fluids in flexible tubing, which comprises a pressure member of generally circular periphery adapted for orbital motion about an axis of rotation. A sleeve member is positioned about the pressure member and defines channel means for receiving and retaining the flexible tubing in a predetermined position between the pressure member and sleeve member, and surrounding the pressure member. The sleeve member may be divided into a pair of substantially semi-circular jaws attached together at one end in hinged relation, to permit opening and closing of the jaws about the pressure member to facilitate installation of the tubing.

  • Patent number: 4337769
Abstract: A liquid administration device comprises a flexible, collapsible bag for the liquid, an outlet tube communicating with the bag and a rigid housing enclosing the bag with the outlet tube projecting outwardly therefrom. Flexible, compressed cellular material is positioned within the housing, exerting pressure due to its compression on the bag which tends to urge the bag towards its collapsed position. Thus the liquid in the bag can be expelled through the outlet tube, with the flow governed by a valve, in a manner independent of gravity.

  • Patent number: 4319232
Abstract: A liquid detection device for energizing a warning signal. An electronic switch, of the non-latching type, is provided for coupling a source of electrical energy to a warning device responsive to a first signal at the inputs thereof. An elongated probe is provided having at least two generally parallel conductors enclosed in an insulative sheath having a plurality of apertures therein for exposing adjacent sections of the conductor. The conductors are coupled to the inputs of the electronic switching device for generating the first signal responsive to moisture being operatively coupled over the apertures between the conductors. The probe is of sufficient length in order to form a perimeter about the area in which the liquid is to be detected.
