  • Patent number: 7153217
Abstract: A golf swing training apparatus is intended for use in learning the proper technique of swinging a golf club to hit a golf ball and accelerate the golf ball along an intended path. The training apparatus includes a planar reflective panel, such as a mirror for visually identifying a users swing path. The training apparatus also includes a rigid panel for strengthening and supporting the reflective panel. The reflective panel includes markings that represent a person at the important golf club to golf ball impact stage so that a user may compare the user's positioning to that of the preferred positioning.

  • Patent number: 7108610
Abstract: The present invention provides for a swing training device for golfers which allows a golfer to receive immediate visual feedback as to his stance, form, and technique. The training device includes a break-resistant mirror and long support legs mounted behind the reflective surface. These legs not only support the mirror in an upright position, but act as shock absorbers so that the golfer can repeatedly hit practice balls or throw a weighted training ball into the mirror. The legs deflect and then spring back, thereby reorienting the mirror back to its original position and allowing the golfer to remain in substantially the same location while training.

  • Patent number: 6958018
Abstract: A golf club practice swing mat for improving a golfer's backstroke and power stroke includes a grass mat on which a practice ball is mounted. An anchoring mat is mounted on the same ground surface as the grass mat and fixed with respect to the ground surface. An elastic band connects the grass mat to the anchoring mat in such a manner that when a user engages the grass mat with a golf club, the grass mat moves in the direction of the golf club swing, and then returns to its initial position. The two mats are folded together for transport.

  • Patent number: 6723004
Abstract: A golf training apparatus comprising a base pad with indicia for locating a golfer's feet for different golf swings, and a pair of footpads, one of which rocks on a fulcrum and the other is disposed in a non-rocking position for teaching a golfer a proper weight shift during his swing.

  • Patent number: 6699141
Abstract: A golf putting and swing teaching aid assists in developing a golfer's “muscle memory”. An elongated mat having a putting surface has a pillow supported for movement along the length of the mat. A putter line is formed on the putting surface. A pair of elastic members support the pillow such that when the a putter strikes the pillow, a line on the pillow is aligned with the putter line on the mat to indicate whether the user has made a proper contact of his club and the pillow. He develops his muscle memory by repeatedly practicing and correcting striking the pillow. The pillow can be removed from the pad and replaced by a practice ball to determine his improvement. Another embodiment of the invention has a pillow that is impacted by a club other than a putter. The resistance of the pillow helps to develop the golfer's swing.

  • Patent number: 6569027
Abstract: A portable putting green for practicing putting which includes an elongate putting mat elevated at one end by an inclined putting structure with a target hole. The putting structure includes an inclined central ramp with the target hole. The angle of inclination and lateral tilt of the putting structure is adjustable using arms pivotally connected to the putting structure which are used to selectively elevate the rear and opposite sides of the putting structure, so as to simulate different holes of a golf course.

  • Patent number: 6468167
Abstract: A golf swing apparatus and method for improving a golfer's backstroke and powerstroke includes a mat on which a practice ball is mounted, a target located on one side of the golf ball location and a second target located on the opposite side of the golf ball location, the two targets and the golf ball location being aligned with a desired club powerswing motion. The club handle has a laser light which when the club is raised on the backswing, focus is on the first target, when the club is raised on completion of the powerstroke, the laser light focuses on the second target.

  • Patent number: 6077169
Abstract: A golf driving instructional station includes a portable platform equipped with a golf ball support mat, a golf club selector mat, and a shoe-support mat. The golf club selector mat has markings that can be used to select different golf clubs for use with the instructional station. The shoe support mat has shoe-positioner markings that enable the golfer to position his feet correctly when swinging different golf clubs against a golf ball located on the golf ball support mat. Reference markings on the golf club selector mat permit the golfer to reposition the shoe support mat to a proper position for each particular golf club.

  • Patent number: 5294124
Abstract: The present invention provides for a practice mirror for improving golf putting skill. The practice mirror is comprised of a generally planar reflective surface, upon which are a stance line, a target line perpendicularly intersecting the stance line, and a positioner for locating a golf ball. The positioner is located at the intersection of the stance and target lines, this intersection lying approximately at one quartile of the stance line. In operation, the golfer places the mirror on the ground, places a golf ball in the positioner and aligns his body and putter club by standing over the mirror and viewing his reflection. This allows the golfer to detect and correct body alignment errors that would otherwise go undetected, thereby improving his putting skill. In a slotted, or channel, embodiment the golfer can perform an actual putt by means of the channel.
