  • Patent number: 6964090
Abstract: A warewash machine arm includes a body formed of a single piece of sheet metal. Adjacent edge parts of the formed sheet metal mat be sealed, such as by a seam weld, an epoxy or another sealing technique.

  • Patent number: 5857723
Abstract: A spark plug wire puller is described which is actuated by a user squeezing a trigger biased against a handle of the tool which causes two jaw members to come together at gripping ends thereof to squeeze a wire or boot. As the user squeezes the trigger and pulls on the tool, the jaws grip the wire or boot and remove it from the spark plug. The invention is advantageous because it does not rely on a scissors action and it grips the boot in such a way so as not to damage it during the removal process.

  • Patent number: 5745310
Abstract: A method and apparatus are provided to allow the operator of a vehicle wishing to change traffic lanes to temporarily scan an angle of the passing lane which is in his or her "blind spot", i.e., an area outside the normal angle of viewing of a conventional flat side rear view mirror. The invention is also useful to divert the headlight reflection from a vehicle in a passing lane out of an operator's eyes. Accomplishment is through temporary pivotal movement of the side mirror to shift the mirror viewing angle from the position at which it had been preset by the operator for normal driving.

  • Patent number: 5335586
Abstract: A handle linkage including two handle arms rotatably secured to each other, while one handle arm is attached to the body of a tool and the other handle arm is attached to an actuatable member of the tool. One or more links connect the actuatable member to the second handle arm allowing for substantially linear movement of the actuatable member into the body of the tool.

  • Patent number: 4510731
Abstract: In a stretch film wrapping machine an improved adjustable mechanism controls the film drawing stroke of a film gripper to select the length of film pulled from a continuous roll of film. The adjustable mechanism comprises an output lever arm which is pivotally mounted to the wrapping machine and an adjustable lever arm pivotally mounted to the distal end of the output lever arm. A link is connected between the adjustable lever arm and an arcuate slot, the arc of which is centered upon the point of connection of the link to the adjustable lever arm when the film gripper is in the position to engage an end of the film roll. This arrangement adjusts the articulation of the adjustable lever arm when the output lever arm is in an extended film pulling position but returns the film gripper to the film end engaging position regardless of the adjustment of the link within the arcuate slot.

  • Patent number: 4338583
Abstract: A switch for controlling an electric circuit has a sealed housing and a slidable actuator mounted therein for external manual operation of the switch through a diaphragm. A switch mechanism, mounted within the housing, has an electromagnet, a plurality of pairs of contacts for controlling external electric circuits, a pair of control contacts for controlling the power to the electromagnet, and an armature movable in response to energizing and deenergizing of the electromagnet. When the actuator is pulled outwardly, a projection thereon closes the control pair of contacts, energizing the electromagnet, and causing the armature to close the remaining pairs of contacts and hold closed the control pair. Pushing the actuator inwardly opens the control contact pair, which deenergizes the electromagnet and thereby opens the other pairs of contacts.

  • Patent number: 4318323
Abstract: In a band saw (10) particulaly adapted for cutting meat, blade scrapers (25, 26) remove debris from the band saw blade (18) and throw it laterally and forward of the blade (18) into an enclosure (40), which can be removed without the use of tools for cleaning and for disposing of the collected debris. The location of the blade scrapers (25, 26) is slaved to the location of the saw blade (18) to automatically maintain the proper relationship for most efficient debris removal without adjustment.
