Abstract: Electrical connectors and methods for manufacturing, assembling, and using the same are disclosed. The electrical connectors can include a first shell, a second shell, a coupling nut, and a locking ring. The electrical connectors can also include an anti-decoupling mechanism intermediate the coupling nut and one of the shells. The anti-decoupling mechanism can include a plurality of detent assemblies equidistantly-spaced around the electrical connector. The anti-decoupling mechanism can also include a grooved surface comprising a plurality of axial grooves, and each groove can define a constant radius of curvature from end to end. The anti-decoupling mechanism be four-fold rotationally symmetric about a first axis and reflectively symmetric about a second axis and a third axis, wherein the first axis, the second axis, and the third axis are mutually orthogonal.
