  • Publication number: 20240347218
Abstract: A system and method for employing centrifugal confinement fusion for in-space propulsion and power generation is disclosed. Centrifugal confinement represents an advancement beyond traditional mirror devices by further confining the fusion fuel and inhibiting instability growth, while still offering a simple magnet geometry and allowing a controllable fraction of the charged fusion products to leave each end of the mirror. These charged products are used to directly heat a higher mass flow rate, lower temperature propellant in the aft direction, which is then expanded through a magnetic nozzle to produce thrust. The lower temperature of the exhaust flow supports an increased level of collisionality to promote plume detachment, and the level of thrust can be traded against specific impulse for mission optimization. Power from the forward flowing charged species is directly converted to electricity to help drive the rotating plasma.

  • Publication number: 20240249264
Abstract: Systems and methods for determining and displaying an average or median count of mobile devices near an entity location is described. The systems and methods comprise receiving location data from a plurality of mobile devices to determine their locations over a period of time. An average or median count of mobile devices of the plurality of mobile devices that are within a threshold distance from an entity during individual hours of a plurality of hours of a day is determined. The highest average or median count of mobile devices during the plurality hours of a day is set as a benchmark count. A user interface is presented that includes a plurality of graphical representations individually corresponding to respective hours of the plurality of hours and a visual indication of the average or median count for the respective hour relative to the benchmark count.

  • Patent number: 11983686
Abstract: Systems and methods comprising determining a first user in proximity to a point of sale (POS) device of a second user, the POS device having detected an identity of the first user and a number of devices associated with the POS device. The number of devices is compared to a baseline number of devices in proximity to the POS device, which is based on a time of day and calculated from a time period prior to the time of day. Based on a determination that the number differs from the baseline number by more than a threshold amount, data is generated that includes an indication configured to be displayed utilizing a client application executing on a device of the first user, wherein user interaction with the indication enables the user to at least one of initiate or modify a transaction with the second user.
