  • Patent number: 5949212
Abstract: A power regulator circuit efficiently regulates electrical power generated by a solar cell array for satellite system load requirements and rechargeable battery needs. The power regulator circuits mounted opposite the solar panel regulate the power generated by the solar array according to a voltage signal generated by a processor. The regulator circuit includes a linear circuit for generating an output signal according to the generated voltage signal; and a resistor strip for dissipating the solar array generated power according to the generated output signal.

  • Patent number: 4654860
Abstract: Individual data bit streams which have been merged into a telemetry stream are regenerated in their original format and at their original data rates by storing frames of the telemetry streams in a buffer, moving the data bits in the frame buffer which are from each merged individual data bit stream to a corresponding individual data bit stream buffer and forming from each individual data bit stream buffer, an output data stream at the same rate and in the same data format as the corresponding individual data bit stream.

  • Patent number: 4433719
Abstract: A portable thermostat is coupled to the control unit of a heating or cooling device through a radio link. The RF signal transmitted by the thermostat is encoded and then decoded by the control unit in order to prevent interference with other similar devices. In order to maximize the life of a battery powering the thermostat, the thermostat calls for the energization of a heating or cooling device by transmitting the RF signal at widely spaced intervals. The heating or cooling device is energized by shunting a pair of terminals, thereby completing an AC control loop. The control unit applies the terminals to a storage capacitor during a small portion of each AC cycle to power the control unit while shunting the terminals during the remaining part of the cycle.
