  • Publication number: 20100013128
Abstract: In various embodiments, devices, systems, and methods for blow molding plastics are provided. In particular, the present disclosure provides for devices, systems, and methods that are configured to create an internal cooling airflow, using conductive and convective cooling thermal properties, such that the cycle time for blow molding plastics is reduced. The decrease in cycle time provided for in accordance with the disclosed devices, systems, and methods are between, approximately 15 percent and 35 percent.

  • Patent number: 6041579
Abstract: A machine for making sealed liquid pouches with a free-floating straw inside the pouch is described. The machine comprises a vertical pouch former which forms a continuous plastic film tube from a film sheet with the plastic film tube disposed about a liquid dispensing spout. A straw convecting tube also extends to one side of the liquid dispensing spout inside the tube. A straw is released through the convecting tube at predetermined intervals in synchronism with a transverse sealer which forms a bottom and top edge seal of pouches as liquid is continuously dispensed through the liquid dispensing tube. The plastic film tube is maintained in a transversely expanded condition during the filling of the pouch and is advanced by an engagement mechanism between the sealing cycles.

  • Patent number: 5782344
Abstract: A liquid product carrying plastic film pouch (10) having a straw (12) free-floating in the liquid product (11) is described. The liquid product (11) contained within the inner chamber (13) of the pouch occupies from about 60% to about 90% of the volume of the inner chamber (13) of the pouch and a portion of air from the remaining volume is evacuated in sufficient quantity to permit the side walls (14,15) of the pouch to be collapsed against one another when the pouch is grasped by the hand of a user person. By collapsing the side walls (14,15) together the straw (12) located within the liquid can be grasped and manipulated to puncture the plastic film pouch (1) to extend a portion (12') of the straw (12) exteriorly of the pouch whereby to extract liquid therefrom.

  • Patent number: 5325934
Abstract: A trailer driver for moving and supporting a trailer is disclosed. A frame provides a base for supporting two downwardly facing opposing arms. A fixed bearing extends upwardly from the base and supports a vertical hitch shaft that is rotatably engaged within the bearing. A trailer hitch clamp is removably fixed to the hitch shaft and is adapted for holding a trailer hitch. The hitch shaft engaging a cover and further provides a fixed steering sprocket coaxial with the hitch shaft. A drive wheel is rotatably mounted on a horizontal axle, which is positioned between the two arms of the frame, and engages a drive sprocket for rotating therewith on the axle. An electric motor is fixed to the frame and provides a driven sprocket interconnected with the drive sprocket by a first drive belt. A drive circuit drives the motor in either a forward or reverse direction.

  • Patent number: 4805808
Abstract: A flexible and disposable water bottle adapted to be used with water coolers and dispenser has a generally cylindrical body joined to a conical neck and a flat base. A removable cap threaded on the upper end of the neck closes the opening into the chamber of the bottle. The neck has an inwardly directed shoulder engageable with an annular seal mounted on a dispenser when the bottle is in the inverted installed position. The shoulder is positioned in annular surface sealing engagement with the seal. The side and base of the bottle have normally disposed handles to facilitate the mounting of the bottle on the dispenser.

  • Patent number: 4030184
Abstract: A method of stripping from a dynamoelectric machine stator a plurality of windings thereof having one of a pair of opposite generally annular grouping of end turns of the windings secured therefrom. The method includes the steps of: lowering the stator onto means for seating and supporting it so as to dispose the other of the end turns in a predetermined position; gripping the other end turns for maintaining them generally against displacement from the predetermined positions; and driving the seating means generally upwardly relative to the winding and moving the stator conjointly therewith toward a position displaced from the windings while gripping the other end turns in the predetermined position thereby stripping the windings from the stator.

  • Patent number: 4016639
Abstract: Apparatus for stripping from a dynamoelectric machine stator a plurality of windings thereof with one of a pair of opposite generally annular groupings of end turns severed therefrom. The apparatus has means movable between a mounting position and a displaced position for generally loosely seating the stator and supporting it in the mounting and displaced positions and also means for gripping engagement with the other of the end turns when the stator is in the mounting position to generally maintain the windings against displacement from the mounting position. The seating and supporting means is movable from the mounting position in response to a force applied thereto to conjointly move the stator relative to the windings to the displaced position thereby to effect the stripping of the windings from the stator when the gripping means is engaged with the other end turns.A method for stripping windings from a stator for dynamoelectric machine is also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 3948124
Abstract: Apparatus for severing from a plurality of windings in a dynamoelectric machine stator a generally annular grouping of winding end turns extending from an end face of the stator. The apparatus has means movable generally in a predetermined plane for severing at least a portion of the winding end turns from the stator windings. Means for mounting the stator includes means for positioning the end face generally adjacent the predetermined plane and also means for supporting the winding end turns portion adjacent the end face and the plane upon the severance of the winding end turns portion in response to the movement of the severing means into severing engagement therewith.A method for severing the end turns from the stator winding, a method of mounting the stator having end turns adapted to be severed, and means for mounting a stator in apparatus for severing end turns from windings of the stator are also disclosed.
