  • Publication number: 20070219321
Abstract: Olefinic interpolymer compositions comprising the olefinic interpolymer, residuals from a transition metal catalyst and boron containing activator package, and a charge dissipation modifier and methods for making them. The compositions have dissipation factors that are at least 50% less than the corresponding olefinic interpolymer compositions which have not been treated with charge dissipation modifiers. The compositions are useful in wire and cable applications.

  • Publication number: 20060205888
Abstract: The instant invention is an improved cure system composition and a method for curing chlorinated elastomer compositions. The cure system composition includes a polymercapto crosslinking agent; an inorganic base; and an onium salt. The onium salt has a formula selected from the group consisting of wherein Z is a nitrogen or phosphorous atom, R1 to R4 are independently alkyl or aryl groups containing between 2 and 8 carbon atoms, and the total number of carbon atoms on R1-R4 is between 10 and 14; wherein R5 and R6 are alkyl groups containing between 1 and 8 carbon atoms, and the total number of carbon atoms on R5-R6 being between 5 and 9; and wherein X is an anion.

  • Publication number: 20060205889
Abstract: The instant invention is an improved cure system composition and a method for curing chlorinated elastomer compositions. The cure system composition includes a polymercapto crosslinking agent, an inorganic base, and a quaternary ammonium salt. The quaternary ammonium salt has a formula selected from the group consisting of wherein R1 is an alkyl or aryl group containing between 4 and 12 carbon atoms; wherein R2 and R3 are independently alkyl or aryl groups containing between 1 and 8 carbon atoms; wherein the total number of carbon atoms on R2 and R3 are between 3 and 9; wherein R4 and R5 are methyl groups, and R6 is an alkyl group containing between 2 and 8 carbon atoms; and wherein X is an anion.
