  • Patent number: 10984394
Abstract: One or more devices, systems and/or methods for managing waste are provided. For example, a waste profile may be generated, based upon inputs received from a first device via a profile interface of a waste data aggregation platform. An approval notice may be received, via an approval interface of the waste data aggregation platform, from a second device. Shipping information may be entered into a plurality of digital forms of a shipping documentation interface based upon the waste profile and/or one or more inputs received from the first device and/or the second device. A shipping order for shipment of the waste may be generated. One or more notifications corresponding to the shipment of the waste may be transmitted to one or more devices associated with the shipment. The waste profile may be analyzed to generate a risk report, a sustainability report, a landfill report, a raw material source report, etc.

  • Patent number: 10974095
Abstract: An exercise apparatus (10) has two wheels (12, 12?) rotatably mounted to a base (14, 14?), spaced apart and each located within a pair of wheel housings (15, 15?), respectively. Pivotably connected to each wheel is a cam (16). Another end of the cam (16) is pivotably connected to a push rod (17) which is pivotably connected to a handle (18) which is rotatably mounted in a housing (20). The pair of handle housings (20) are pivotably and respectively mounted to the pair of cams (16) such that movement of each arm in a vertical plane up or down by operating on the respective handle causes an elliptical rotation of the respective cam relative to the respective wheel (12, 12?).

  • Publication number: 20140365762
Abstract: A centralized password repository (CPR) provides network users with a password portal through which the user can manage password access to domains and applications on the network. A subset of the domains and applications on the network may be required, by design, to maintain a separate password infrastructure. For these systems, the CPR establishes a secure and authenticated communication channel and software on the system interfaces with the password infrastructure to synchronize the password in the system password infrastructure with the password in the CPR. For other systems not required to maintain a separate password infrastructure, the CPR performs password services by responding to requests from those systems seeking to validate user IDs and passwords. The CPR enables an administrator to modify network privileges and enables a user to alter passwords on the network through a single interface.

  • Patent number: 8240421
Abstract: An adaptor for an older Corvette drive train provides a structure for coupling the drive shaft extending from a front-mounted transmission to the differential of a C5 or C6 Corvette rear suspension in which the rear mounted transmission has been removed. A housing holds a stub shaft for rotation on front (outside) and rear (inside) bearings. The shaft has a coupling yoke mounted to its front end and engages the differential gearing at its other (rear) end. The housing mounts to the differential at the five mounting points of the removed transmission. A bracket which attaches to frame mounts can be mounted to either the top or bottom front (outside) face of the housing, depending upon the suspension-to-frame geometry. A circular flange on the shaft positions and holds the inside bearing and a rearward extending boss on the yoke positions and holds the outside bearing.

  • Patent number: 7503441
Abstract: In one embodiment, a torque converter includes a two-piece cover, an impeller, a turbine, and a lockup clutch. The two-piece cover includes a base plate that is configured for attachment to a drive member. The base plate has a plurality of lugs around the periphery thereof, and at least some of the lugs have straight flanks. The two-piece cover also includes a cylindrical wall piece that is fixed to the base plate. The impeller is fixed to the cylindrical wall piece. The turbine is rotationally mounted between the impeller and the cover and is configured for attachment to a driven member. The lockup clutch is configured to lock the impeller and cover to the turbine when a fluid pressure applied to the lockup clutch increases above a torque converter lockup pressure.

  • Patent number: 6667487
Abstract: A containment apparatus for containing a cloud of charged particles comprises a cylindrical vacuum chamber having a longitudinal axis. Within the vacuum chamber is a containment region. A magnetic field is aligned with the longitudinal axis of the vacuum chamber. The magnetic field is time invariant and uniform in strength over the containment region. An electric field is also aligned with the longitudinal axis of the vacuum chamber and the magnetic field. The electric field is time invariant, and forms a potential well over the containment region. One or more means are disposed around the cloud of particles for inducing a rotating electric field internal to the vacuum chamber. The rotating electric field imparts energy to the charged particles within the containment region and compress the cloud of particles.

  • Publication number: 20030183783
Abstract: The invention provides a container for transporting antiprotons including a dewar having an evacuated cavity and a cryogenically cold wall. A plurality of thermally conductive supports are disposed in thermal connection with the cold wall and extend into the cavity. An antiproton trap is mounted on the extending supports within the cavity. A sealable cavity access port selectively provides access to the cavity for selective introduction into and removal from the cavity of the antiprotons. The container is capable of confining and storing antiprotons while they are transported via conventional terrestrial or airborne methods to a location distant from their creation.
