  • Publication number: 20240261381
Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of lipid nanoparticles (LNP); more specifically comprising an ionizable lipid, a phospholipid, a sterol, a PEG lipid and one or more nucleic acids. The LNP's of the present invention are characterized in comprising less than about 1 mol % of a C14-PEG2000 lipid; as well as particular percentages of the other lipids. The present invention provides use of the LNP's for immunogenic delivery of nucleic acid molecules, specifically mRNA; thereby making them highly suitable for use in vaccines, such as for the treatment of cancer or infectious diseases. Finally, methods are provided for preparing such LNP's.

  • Publication number: 20230277445
Abstract: The present invention relates to an adhesive drug carrier comprising an injectable hydrogel comprising at least one medication, wherein the hydrogel comprises a (i) a protein-based polymer functionalized with a functionalization agent that is able to form guest-host interactions with oxidized P-cyclodextrin, cross-linked with (ii) an oxidized P-cyclodextrin (o?-CD) as matrix and the at least one medication (iii), and wherein the hydrogel further comprises (iv) a protein-based polymer bearing quinone and/or catechol groups. The invention further relates to a method for its preparation and a method for treatment.

  • Publication number: 20140287027
Abstract: The invention relates to the use of a composition comprising a corticosteroid encapsulated in a vesicle for the manufacture of a medicament for treating cancer, such as the use of a composition comprising a corticosteroid and liposomes, the liposomes comprising a non-charged vesicle-forming lipid, and optionally an amphipathic vesicle-forming lipid and/or a negatively charged vesicle-forming lipid. The invention further relates to a new pharmaceutical composition suitable for treating cancer, and especially solid primary and secondary tumors.

  • Publication number: 20100143452
Abstract: The present invention relates to liposomal compositions comprising polyphenol in the interior of a colloidal carrier, and especially to the use of such compositions in the treatment of cancer or in the inhibition of cancer growth and in the treatment of inflammatory and autoimmune conditions. More specifically, the invention relates to a method for targeting a polyphenol to tumor tissue, or to sites in the body requiring anti-inflammatory activity or activity against autoimmune conditions. Furthermore, the present invention describes a method of post-loading a polyphenol derivate such as caffeic acid into a liposome.
