Abstract: A control knob for an appliance deploys a round bezel region that surround a fixed electronic display panel that is touch sensitive. The appliance state or operating condition is modified by the user rotating the bezel and selecting graphic user interface (GUI) icons on the electronic display. The bezel orientation modifies the GUI to display icons that operate the appliance in different modes. In a first mode of power control, the GUI displays power levels and the bezel orientation modifies the power level. In a second mode, the GUI displays temperature settings and the bezel orientation modifies the temperature. The GUI displays icons that when activated switch between the first and second mode as well as turn off the appliance. Another icon may activate a third mode that enables control and display of other settings, such as temperature units, time and date, count down timers and the like.

Abstract: A grill is provided with a removable storage basket assembly for providing a conveniently accessible receptacle or storage platform for articles such as seasonings, cooking tools, towels, or other articles. The storage basket assembly includes a frame having a basket or tray that can be mounted thereto, and a handle. The handle is configured to be received within a recess formed in a shelf of the grill for removably but stably mounting the storage basket assembly on the grill.

Abstract: A grill canopy is removably mounted to a grill or cooking assembly over the cooking surface of the grill. The grill canopy includes a first or front half and a second or rear half adapted to fit together in a telescoping arrangement. The first and second canopy halves can be locked together and then rotated to a removal position, where they can be disengaged and removed from the cooking surface of the grill.

Abstract: A lighting assembly for an outdoor grill or similar type of cooking assembly includes a base having a first end mountable within a receptacle located along a surface of the grill. An illumination source is located at a second end of the base. A directional cap is applied over the illumination source and redirects the light provided by the illumination source toward a desired area or areas of a cooking surface or preparation area of the grill.

Abstract: A multi-component fascia assembly for refrigerator storage assemblies is provided. The fascia generally includes a face plate having a pair of end caps attached to the ends thereof. The fascia assembly can be attached to a support member to form a storage unit for a refrigerator. A refrigerator comprising a storage assembly having a multi-component fascia assembly also is provided. Additionally, a method of making a refrigerator storage assembly is provided and includes extruding an intermediate extrusion and cutting it to a predetermined length to form a face plate. The method also encompasses attaching end caps to the face plate to form a fascia which then can be attached to a support member to form a storage unit. One or more storage units can be formed and combined to create a refrigerator storage assembly.

Abstract: Modular storage assemblies for refrigerators are provided. The storage assemblies include drawers formed of multi-component frames that support pans. The drawers are provided in a variety of configurations and include parts that can be used in various configurations.
