  • Patent number: 9803830
Abstract: The present disclosure provides a multi-directional light fixture having a single orientation light source. The multi-directional light fixture includes a light source orientated towards a semi-reflective lens. The semi-reflective lens allows a portion of the light it receives from the light source to be reflected upwards, providing uplight from the light fixture. The lens also allows a portion of the light it receives from the light source to be transmitted therethrough, providing downlight from the light fixture. Thus, the light fixture provides both uplight and downlight while the light source is oriented downwards.

  • Patent number: 9383508
Abstract: A multi-wing edge-lit structure includes a first edge-lit light guide panel, a second edge-lit light guide panel, and a joiner unit. The first edge-lit light guide panel is adjustably attached to the joiner unit on a first side of the joiner unit. The second edge-lit light guide panel is adjustably attached to the joiner unit on a second side of the joiner unit. The first side and the second side are opposite sides of the joiner unit.

  • Publication number: 20080024142
Abstract: A circuit testing closer may include a fault isolating switching device coupled between a supply side and a load side of a power distribution system and a current pulse generator coupled in parallel to the switch to generate a current pulse within the power distribution system subsequent to a fault isolation for testing the power distribution system. The current pulse generator may include an electromechanical actuator, an electromagnetic actuator or a solid state switching device. The circuit testing closer may be a purpose-built combination device, or the fault isolating switching device and the current pulse generator may be separately coupled and commonly controlled devices. The fault isolating switching device may have continuous current rating greater than a continuous current rating of the pulse generating device.

  • Publication number: 20070285857
Abstract: A power distribution protection system and method uses communications to coordinate operation of fault protection devices. Communications may be prioritized wherein messages of a lower priority are held or discarded in favor of messages of a higher priority, for example, messages indicating a fault condition. The devices may use multiple channel access schemes in accordance with a priority of a message to be communicated.

  • Publication number: 20060220462
Abstract: A control system and method of controlling an uninterruptible power supply (UPS) system prevents a load anomaly, such as transformer DC offset, resulting from a supply disruption, such as a voltage sag, by modifying the UPS supplied power curve. The UPS supplied power curve maintains a predetermined power for a predetermined duration to cause the UPS supplied power curve to depart from normal supply curve post sag detection. Following the predetermined duration, the UPS supplied power curve is conformed to the normal power supply curve until restoration of the source power supply or engagement of a secondary power source.

  • Publication number: 20050052807
Abstract: A control method and arrangement that monitors the condition and operating parameters of a power electronic system having power electronic devices and responds to various detected abnormalities to optimize operation of the power electronic system. The arrangement increases reliability of operation and optimizes the continuous supply of power to a load. The arrangement also includes the capability for diagnosing the parameters of the power electronic switches including drive current, drive voltage and operating temperature and for communicating the status information in a coordinated fashion.

  • Patent number: 5281004
Abstract: Each of a number of wheel hubs of a modified mini stock racing car is removably affixed to a corresponding one of a number of brake rotors in coaxial relation with its corresponding axle. Each of the wheel hubs has a hollow cylindrical base portion coaxially positioned around the corresponding axle on the side of the corresponding brake rotor closer to the corresponding end of the corresponding axle than the opposite side of the brake rotor. The base portion has a first end and a spaced opposite second end axially farther from the corresponding brake rotor than the first end. A number of equiangularly spaced ears extend radially from the second end of the base portion of the hub for equal radial distances and a plurality of equiangularly spaced gussets equal in number to the ears extend radially from the base portion.
