  • Patent number: 6631993
Abstract: A projecting display system includes a light source (101) which produces light which is spatially modulated by a number of spatial light modulators (105, 107). A splitting means (103) is provided in the light path between the light source (101) and the spatial light modulators (105 and 107) such that the overall luminous flux produceable by the system is not determined by the maximum luminous flux which each spatial light modulators (105, 107) can accommodate.

  • Patent number: 6631803
Abstract: A beverage cooler box is provided which is intended to receive ice or other cooling means to keep containers packaged therein cool. The box is made of a material which is impervious to liquid which may be contained within the box during use. The box includes folding end panels which extend continuously between adjacent front and rear panels; therefore, there are no seams or breaks in the material around the lower portion of the box which might degrade the ability of the box to hold a liquid. Also disclosed is a method of assembling the cooler box.

  • Patent number: 6632382
Abstract: The present invention generally relates to processes for preparing extruded foam products and more particularly to a process for producing such products wherein surface defects are minimized. There has been a movement to replace conventional halo-carbon blowing agents in favor of purportedly more environmentally safe halo-carbon free blowing agents such as carbon dioxide, nitrogen, argon, water, air, nitrogen, and helium. However, these halo-carbon free blowing agents, in particular carbon dioxide, have higher foaming rates and higher volatility leading to greater surface defects in the extruded foam. The present invention employs polyethylene wax to reduce or eliminate the occurrence of surface defects where halo-carbon free blowing agents are employed in an extruded foam manufacture process.

  • Publication number: 20030189170
Abstract: Ions for analysis are formed from a liquid sample comprising an analyte in a solvent liquid by directing the liquid sample through a capillary tube having a free end so as to form a first flow comprising a spray of droplets of the liquid sample, to promote vaporization of the solvent liquid. An orifice member is spaced from the free-end of the capillary tube and has an orifice therein. An electric field is generated between the free-end of the capillary and the orifice member, thereby causing the droplets to be charged, and the first flow is directed in a first direction along the axis of the capillary tube. Two gas sources, or an arc jet of gas, provide second and third flows, of a gas, and include heaters for heating the second and third flows.

  • Publication number: 20030192018
Abstract: An apparatus and method for automated use of phase abstraction for enhanced verification of circuit designs is provided. With the apparatus and method, latches are “colored,” i.e. classified into different types, based on information obtained from a clock tree of the circuit design. Clock tree primitives contain sufficient information to taxonomize the clocks into their respective phases and identify which latches are gated latches. In coloring the latches, gated latches are replaced in the circuit design with a free running clock, a multiplexor, and a sequence of L1 to Ln latches to provide a feedback path via the data path. This allows the gated latch to be phase abstracted without losing the “gated” functionality of the gated latch in the resulting trace. Once the latches are colored in this way, phase abstraction is performed on the colored circuit design. The phase abstracted netlist is then subjected to verification and a trace is produced.

  • Publication number: 20030188630
Abstract: A gun muffler and a noise abatement system for a large caliber gun having a gun tube include a catcher. The catcher, which is disposed within the pressure vessel for entrapping particulates and for permitting the projectile to pass, includes a plurality of columns adapted for being removably attached within a pressure vessel. The gun muffler includes a transition section fitted around the gun tube and engaging the gun tube for preventing the escape of residual combustion gases caused by the firing of a projectile by the gun. Attached to the transition section is at least one pressure vessel which defines a pressure chamber for containing residual combustion gases and attenuating pressure waves. The noise abatement system includes a horizontal concrete slab and a gun muffler, as that described above, adapted for being mounted on the concrete slab.
