  • Publication number: 20100180643
Abstract: A device for pumping out lye 5 for a washing machine 4 having a washing drum 6, a lye pump 24 and a return flow container 30 arranged in the course of the pumping-out device for filling the drain area in the lye container 2 is to be presented in a cost-effective and easy-to assemble manner. To this end, a lower pumping-out connecting element 25, the return flow tank 30 and an upper pumping-out connecting element 26 is designed in one piece as an at least partially flexible tube 17, which is guided at least partially through a tube holding device 1.

  • Patent number: 7299663
Abstract: The shaft axis of a detergent-solution pump in a washing machine is pivoted about a vertical such that, as seen in the forward direction, it forms an acute angle ? with a perpendicular center plane running from the front surface to the rear wall of the machine housing. The drain connector for the drain hose from the tub to the pump is oriented on the tub casing with an angular offset in the preferred spinning direction of rotation in relation to the vertical plane running through the drum axis. These measures give rise to better accessibility to the pump chamber and to improved pumping capacity, in particular for foam/water mixtures. The pump-out operation is shortened, and the overall height of the pump-out system can be reduced.
