  • Patent number: 11310276
Abstract: Evaluating a plurality of computers hosting a cloud platform for effectiveness at operating through operational failures with minimal or no degradation to operations by identifying vulnerabilities in hardware, firmware, software and operational policy/plan aspects of the plurality of computers and managing the identified vulnerabilities by modifying hardware, firmware, software, and operational policy/plan aspects of the plurality of computers and the hosted cloud platform to improve effectiveness at operating through operational failures with minimal or no degradation to operations.

  • Publication number: 20180233021
Abstract: Techniques are described relating to alert propagation in a virtualized computing environment. An associated method may include receiving a notification regarding an incident in an environment in which computing capabilities are provided as a service. The method further may include monitoring a plurality of events within the environment to detect an event relating to the incident and evaluating the detected event. The method further may include propagating via at least one alerting site service at least one disruption alert associated with the incident. The at least one disruption alert may be based upon evaluating the detected event. The at least one alerting site service may distribute the at least one disruption alert to at least one alerting agent among a plurality of alerting agents, each of the at least one alerting agent being associated with a respective virtual machine within the environment that is affected by the incident.

  • Publication number: 20170140315
Abstract: An approach for managing incident tickets in a cloud managed service environment is provided. In an embodiment, in response to receipt of an incident ticket, it is determined whether a threshold number of incident tickets similar to the received incident ticket have been answered within a specified time period. This determination may include determining frequencies with which a plurality of previous resolutions applied to the similar incident tickets have been successful. Further, in response to determining that the threshold number of similar incident tickets have been answered, an automated response is provided to the received incident ticket and to subsequently received similar incident tickets, where similar incident tickets are defined as having a same error code or category type. The automated response may comprise a series of one or more previous resolutions to the similar incident tickets in order of the highest frequency of success.

  • Patent number: 4288016
Abstract: A support for a pair of generally 90.degree. relatively angulated staple guns is provided and the support defines a pair of aligned generally 90.degree. V-shaped notches for embracingly engaging an outside dry wall corner structure. The inner portions of the V-shaped notches are relieved to receive a generally V-shaped corner bead therein and the notches are spaced apart to engage the corner bead at points spaced longitudinally therealong. The staple guns are spaced apart intermediate the V-shaped notches and include abutment surfaces from which staples may be projected, the abutment surfaces of the staple guns substantially coinciding with planes lying along and extending between corresponding sides of the notches. The staple guns include actuators shiftable between active and inactive positions and the support includes an operator shiftable along a path bisecting the included angle for operating the actuators. A V-shaped corner bead is provided including a partial cylindrical apex portion of generally 270.
