    Abstract: The invention relates to the use of a composition comprising a corticosteroid encapsulated in a vesicle for the manufacture of a medicament for treating cancer, such as the use of a composition comprising a corticosteroid and liposomes, the liposomes comprising a non-charged vesicle-forming lipid and, optionally, an amphipathic vesicle-forming lipid and/or a negatively charged vesicle-forming lipid. The invention further relates to a new pharmaceutical composition suitable for treating cancer, especially, solid primary and secondary tumors.
