  • Patent number: 11514521
Abstract: According to an embodiment of the present invention, an automated computer implemented system maintains and manages limits data relating to restrictions associated with a client, trader, machine or other entity. The system comprises a consolidated repository; an interactive user interface; a trading system interface that communicates approved limit to one or more trading or limit enforcement systems; and a computer processor. The computer processor is programmed to: receive inputs from a plurality of sources; identify one or more authorized users to request and approve the limits; effectuate the one or more limits for the trade request via one or more trading or limit enforcement systems; and provide, via the interactive user interface, a reporting function for data relating to one or more limits.

  • Patent number: 5950154
Abstract: A noise filter technique estimates noise in speech that has been processed by Call Multiplication Equipment. The received signal has speech frames and interspersed fill-noise frames inserted at a satellite signal receiving station. The filtering technique removes the fill-noise from the signal. The remaining speech frames are analyzed such that the speech frames having the lowest power values are used to create a histogram of power/frequency. This histogram contains information from which the noise-in-speech power spectrum is derived.

  • Patent number: 5758681
Abstract: The present invention relates to a fluid cylinder pressure check valve device, for use during the recharging of cylinders with fluid(s). In use, the invention is attached to a valve assembly of the cylinder so that when the valve assembly is opened, residual pressure within the cylinder may be determined to enable more efficient recharging. The invention also allows cylinders containing gas mixtures to be recharged to attain enhanced composition uniformity.

  • Patent number: 5427480
Abstract: A boring tool is equipped with a radially adjustable clutter element, and a remotely-operated mechanism for adjusting the cutter element between its active and inactive positions. During movement of the tool into a hole in a work piece the adjustable cutter element is inactive; the cutting operation is performed by one or more non-adjustable cutter elements. When the tool holder reaches the limit of its penetration into the work piece the remote adjusting mechanism is operated to move the adjustable cutter element radially outwardly to an active cutting position. During return movement of the holder out of the work piece the adjustable cutter element performs a finish machining operation on the hole surface.

  • Patent number: 5421681
Abstract: A boring bar in which a cutter element holder is adjustable around a transverse pivot axis, so that different cutting elements can be used to machine the hole surface during movement of the boring bar in opposite directions. The transverse pivot axis is defined by a torsional hinge that automatically returns the holder to a neutral position when the adjustment force is removed.

  • Patent number: 5203856
Abstract: A tool mechanism for machining a hole side surface, and for chamfering the ends of the hole, includes a boring cutter and two chamfer cutters oriented so that during an axial infeed of the cutter assembly the hole side surface is machined and a chamfer is formed at one end of the hole. The cutter assembly can be shifted transversely to position a chamfer cutter for machining a second chamfer on the other end of the hole. The cutter assembly is carried on a cutter support member that is swingably mounted on a tool body secured to the spindle of the cutting machine. An actuator device is movable along the tool body axis to adjust the position of the cutter support member.

  • Patent number: 5156501
Abstract: A face mill having one or more cartridges for adjustably supporting cutter inserts on the end face of the rotating tool body. Each cartridge has a convex arcuate surface seated against a concave arcuate seat surface formed on or in the milling tool body. A torsion bar is integrally extended from the cartridge parallel to the axis of the concave seat surface. Also, a manual adjustment screw is located perpendicular to the axis of rotation of the cartridge for applying an adjustment force to the cartridge in opposition to the action of the torsion leaf spring. The torsion bar applies a pre-load force to the cartridge. The manual adjustment screw exerts an opposing force that rotates the cartridge to a desired position for proper orientation of the associated cutter insert.

  • Patent number: 4438539
Abstract: A motion conversion apparatus is disclosed having particular utility as a tool carrier actuator in a rotating taper thread generating tool head, wherein a plurality of tool carriers are moved axially of the workpiece and simultaneously transversly of the axis to form a tapered thread at the end of the workpiece. A portion of the actuating apparatus is mounted coaxially with a housing for the tool head and includes an inner and an outer actuating bar coupled together by helical keys and mating keyways such that relative axial motion between the inner and outer bars produces rotating movement of the outer bar. Rotation of the outer actuating bar is transferred to an actuating drum which has an outer surface having at least one helical keyway formed therein. In one embodiment, the actuating drum is a separate component rotating with the outer actuating bar via key-keyway pairs.
