Patent number: 10617367Abstract: A flexible, durable, sanitary, adhesive-backed sheet is applied to the skin-contacting surfaces of a mammography bucky prior to commencing a mammography procedure, and is removed from the bucky once the procedure is complete, without leaving a residue behind. The sheet is made of a non-woven polymeric material that gives the sheet a fabric-like or cloth feel, and is substantially incompressible in response to forces applied during a mammography procedure. The sheet insulates the patient from the temperature differential between the patient's skin and the bucky surfaces. Additionally, the surface of the sheet is embossed with a texture, markings or raised features to enhance the fabric-like feel.Type: GrantFiled: November 11, 2016Date of Patent: April 14, 2020Assignee: BEEKLEY CORPORATIONInventors: Martine M. Publication number: 20070006609Abstract: A method and apparatus (10) for servicing refrigeration system (12) which provides a single device for recovering and reclaiming refrigerant, flushing the refrigerant system with solvent, and recharging the system with refrigerant. Refrigerant is recovered and reclaimed by withdrawing the refrigerant from the refrigeration system, vaporizing the refrigerant, removing the contamination from the refrigerant, liquefying the refrigerant, and then storing the cleaned refrigerant. The refrigeration system, or a component of it, can then be cleaned with solvent, using the same apparatus used to flush the refrigeration system with solvent. After flushing, the solvent is processed by vaporizing the solvent, removing the contamination from the solvent, liquefying the solvent, and then storing the cleaned solvent.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 5, 2005Publication date: January 11, 2007Applicant: Honeywell International Inc.Inventors: Raymond Thomas, Kane Cook, Guillermo Hitters, Gary Knopeck, Raymond Soon Kim

Patent number: 6552295Abstract: A method and apparatus for plasma waste disposal of hazardous waste material, where the hazardous material is volatilized under vacuum inside a containment chamber to produce a pre-processed gas as input to a plasma furnace including a plasma-forming region in which a plasma-forming magnetic field is produced. The pre-processed gas is passed at low pressure and without circumvention through the plasma-forming region and is directly energized to an inductively coupled plasma state such that hazardous waste reactants included in the pre-processed gas are completely dissociated in transit through the plasma-forming region. Preferably, the plasma-forming region is shaped as a vacuum annulus and is dimensioned such that there is no bypass by which hazardous waste reactants in the pre-processed gas can circumvent the plasma-forming region. The plasma furnace is powered by a high frequency power supply outputting power at a fundamental frequency.Type: GrantFiled: December 20, 2000Date of Patent: April 22, 2003Assignee: Research Triangle InstituteInventors: Robert J.
