Abstract: Aspects of a method and system for bridging and routing offload in a multiport wireless system are presented. Various aspects of the system may include a wireless network interface subsystem that enables transcoding of at least a portion of a data packet received by the wireless network interface subsystem. The wireless network interface subsystem may enable transfer of the transcoded portion of the data packet from the wireless network interface subsystem to a wired network interface subsystem that is communicatively coupled thereto. The transcoded portion of the data packet may be compliant with a format utilized by the wired network interface subsystem.

The wireless communication device presents multiple application management tiers for the software application. The wireless communication device receives a user selection of a first application management tier for the software application. Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a video game preview. The video game preview may run on a game client or on a game server associated with a game service. A current preview experience is maintained by causing the client or server to access a central preview file that defines the preview experience. The preview may be provided by the game service or on the game client depending on circumstances. In one embodiment, if game code for the preview is present locally on the client, then the client provides the preview. If the video game code is not available locally at the game client, then the preview is either generated by the game service and streamed to the game client or the code is downloaded to the game client to enable the client to generate the preview.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for providing authentication using an adaptive liquid lens are disclosed. For example, in one embodiment, the method receives a request for authentication from a mobile endpoint device of a user, wherein the request comprises a first retinal image of the user captured using an adaptive liquid lens of the mobile endpoint device. The method obtains a second retinal image of the user, wherein the second retinal image is a stored retinal image of the user. The method authenticates the first retinal image against the second retinal image. In another embodiment, the method captures a first retinal image of a user via a mobile endpoint device of the user, wherein the mobile endpoint device comprises an adaptive liquid lens. The method then sends a request for authentication from the mobile endpoint device over a network, wherein the request comprises the first retinal image.

Abstract: A balcony blockout insert is sized to engage a preformed blockout hole and includes a plurality of contact foot members that are in connection with respective pivot arms and structured to extend outwardly against the inner surfaces of the blockout hole by rotating a tensioning bolt in a clockwise direction using a tensioning wrench. Each contact foot member includes one or more resilient pads for engaging the unique contour of the sidewalls (e.g. circular, square, etc.) of the blockout hole to form an anchor point for a temporary railing post. The blockout insert includes a receiver boot for engaged receipt of a temporary post. The blockout insert is removed by turning the tensioning bolt in the counter-clockwise direction using the tensioning wrench, which causes the contact foot members to retract inwards and away from the sidewalls of the blockout hole.
