  • Publication number: 20140003864
Abstract: An inertial lockout mechanism is coupled to a latch mechanism, such that, during a collision event, the inertial lockout mechanism will move to an interference position such that the latch mechanism will be retained in a locked position as an inertial force is realized on the latch mechanism. Specifically tailored compression spring configurations ensure that the inertial lockout mechanism will move to the interference position before the latch mechanism can move to the unlocked position.

Abstract: A forceps includes an end effector assembly including first and second jaw members. One or both of the jaw members is movable relative to the other between a spaced-apart position and an approximated position for grasping tissue therebetween. One or both of the jaw members is configured to conduct energy between the jaw members and through tissue grasped therebetween to treat tissue. An insulative tubular member is movable relative to the end effector assembly between a retracted position, wherein the insulative tubular member is positioned proximally of the end effector assembly, and an extended position, wherein the insulative tubular member is disposed about the end effector assembly. • Publication number: 20140001776
Abstract: An actuator mechanism for a door latch is provided. The actuator mechanism may include a first actuator and a second actuator. The first actuator can be pivotably coupled to a first support structure about a first axis. Moreover, the first actuator can include an engaging tip, a first engagement and a second engagement. The second actuator can be pivotably coupled to a second support structure about a second axis. In response to the movement of the arm of the second actuator about the second axis, the first engagement of the first actuator can rotate about the first axis to move the engaging tip to release the door latch. Alternatively, in response to the movement of the second engagement of the first actuator, the second engagement of the first actuator can rotate about the first axis to move the engaging tip to release the door latch.

  • Publication number: 20140006185
Abstract: Systems and methods which allow for a money transfer transaction to be funded without providing payment at the point in time when the transaction is originated and which also do not require a customer to undertake a separate transaction with a separate entity prior to initiating the money transfer transaction with a money transfer service are provided. Embodiments may therefore allow for money transfers, such as in emergency situations, when customers would not otherwise have payment readily available at the time of the transaction.

  • Publication number: 20140001799
Abstract: An active bolster is integrated within a seat for a transportation vehicle by covering an inner inflatable bladder with an outer cushion layer to provide a seating support surface. Seating loads are borne on the support surface from the weight of an occupant by elastic deformation of the bladder. When a vehicle crash event is detected, at least a portion of the bladder is inflated to extend a seat surface to protect the occupant. Size and weight of the seat are reduced as a result of the bladder contributing significantly to the normal cushioning of the seat in everyday usage.
