  • Publication number: 20080046535
Abstract: A scheme for redirecting messages from a messaging system to a mobile communication device associated with a user having a mail address at the messaging system. An embodiment comprises one or more of the following: maintaining a folder list at the messaging system for incoming messages addressed to the user's mail address; upon receiving an automatically generated notification indicative of arrival a new incoming message for the user, determining if the new message is in the folder list; and upon determining that the new message is in the folder list, processing at least a portion of an instance of the new message for transmission to the user's mobile communication device over a wireless network.

  • Publication number: 20080045253
Abstract: A scheme for synchronizing message folders between a messaging system and a mobile communication device. An embodiment comprises one or more of the following: upon establishment of a communication link between the messaging system and the mobile communication device, retrieving and tagging a source folder structure from a data store associated with the messaging system and updating a target folder structure on the mobile communication device based on the source folder structure. Thereafter, messages stored on the messaging system and the mobile communication device are compared to find matches that are moved within the respective folder structures based on a move flag status scheme.

  • Publication number: 20060205393
Abstract: A call forwarding user interface for a mobile communication device provides selective access to pre-stored identifying data (e.g., an address book) for a user to define one or more call forwarding destinations for predetermined call forwarding conditions. Call forwarding profiles of such identifying data may also be defined and stored for subsequent selective actuation. Such interface features facilitate user-defined call forwarding functions with reduced requirements for memorization and/or reference to written or printed records.

  • Publication number: 20060095525
Abstract: A system and method of pushing user-selected data items from a host system to a user's mobile data communication device upon detecting the occurrence of one or more user-defined event triggers is provided. The user may then move (or file) the data items to a particular folder within a folder hierarchy stored in the mobile data communication device, or may execute some other system operation on the data item. Software operating at the mobile device and the host system then synchronizes the folder hierarchy of the mobile device with a folder hierarchy of the host system, and any actions executed on the data items at the mobile device are then automatically replicated on the same data items stored at the host system, thus eliminating the need for the user to manually replicate actions at the host system that have been executed at the mobile data communication device.
