Patent number: 11233937Abstract: An autonomously motile device is capable of capturing image data, such as panoramic images, as it moves to different locations in an environment. It selects the locations at which to capture the image data by determining, for each of a plurality of grid units in a map of the environment, a number of grid points that are unobstructed by a wall or object surrounding the point. It then selects a number of locations having the greatest number of viewable grid points.Type: GrantFiled: September 26, 2019Date of Patent: January 25, 2022Assignee: Amazon Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Amy Solenberg, Sitaram Baldwa, Raymond Zhang

The system includes a handle disposed on an inner surface of the door, a proximity sensor, a latch assembly connected with the handle, and a controller in communication with the proximity sensor and the latch assembly. The handle has a connection portion pivotally connected with the door and a grabbing portion opposite to the connection portion. The proximity sensor is configured to detect an object in proximity. The latch assembly is configured to be locked to keep the door closed or unlocked to allow the door opened. The controller is configured to, at a first mode, activate the latch assembly when the proximity sensor detects the object in proximity such that an opening action on the handle is capable of unlocking the latch assembly.Type: GrantFiled: August 8, 2018Date of Patent: January 26, 2021Assignee: Ford Global Technologies LLCInventors: Kadin Zhang, Adrian Tong, Raymond Zhang, Alec Dai

Publication number: 20140142210Abstract: The present invention relates to an adhesive composition, which comprises, based on the total weight of the adhesive composition: (1) from 38.0 to 75.0 percent by weight of a urethane oligomer carrying (meth)acryloyloxy group; (2) from 0.1 to 10.0 percent by weight of a multifunctional (meth)acrylate monomer; (3) from 15.0 to 60.0 percent by weight of a monofunctional (meth)acrylate monomer; (4) from 0.5 to 5.0 percent by weight of a photoinitiator; (5) from 0.1 to 5.0 percent by weight of a silane coupling agent; and (6) from 0 to 5.0 percent by weight of an additive, which is selected from one or more of the group consisting of a tackifier, a thickening agent, a flame retardant, a leveling agent and a thermal initiator. The cured adhesive composition has a high transparency and a high bonding strength, and the adhesive composition can be used for bonding various substrates in display devices.Type: ApplicationFiled: January 23, 2014Publication date: May 22, 2014Inventors: Raymond Zhang, Daoqiang Lu, Shabbir Attarwala

Patent number: 6795226Abstract: A transparent chromogenic assembly in which color changes are selectively effectable over predefined areas comprises a pair of facing transparent substrates (15, 21, 28) each covered with a conductive layer divided into individual energizeable areas each provided with a set of busbars (187, 188). A passive layer may be superimposed over one of the substrates, its color being chosen so that the color and the transmissivity of the passive layer accommodates the range of color change and transmissivity of the electrochromic layer to maintain the transmitted color of the panel in a warm or neutral shade. Various other chromogenic windows, devices and systems are also disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: October 25, 2002Date of Patent: September 21, 2004Assignees: Schott Corporation, Donnelly CorporationInventors: Anoop Agrawal, Stephan Hansen, Juan Carlos Lopez Tonazzi, Raymond Zhang

Patent number: 6528782Abstract: A user-controlled skylight window or the like in which the user can control the light transmitted through the skylight. A chromogenic filter is under automatic control of a control circuit. A user interface permits the user to set the control circuit for desired lighting. A mechanical shutter is likewise controlled to open or close the skylight under control of the user interface. A lamp within the skylight provides nighttime lighting under user control. The diffuseness of light transmitted through the skylight is improved by modifying the diffuseness of various components of the skylight including the filter. Uses of the filter in a variety of systems and with a variety of controls are disclosed.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2000Date of Patent: March 4, 2003Assignee: Schott Donnelly LLCInventors: Raymond Zhang, Anoop Agrawal, Bob Lecompte, Juan Carlos Lopez Tonazzi, Stephan Hansen

Publication number: 20020121239Abstract: Liquid film dies for coating of substrates with thin films of fluid have substantially constant fluid path geometry fluid passages leading to fluid outlet orifices. A fluid film applicator for applying a film of a fluid onto a substrate includes a dispensing head which dispenses the fluid so that the fluid is deposited as a continuous sheet on the substrate, and a meniscus forming member that controls the thickness of the fluid in the continuous sheet. The dispensing head may include upper and lower plates with a fluid channel between, the plates being offset and positioned relative to the meniscus former. A variable contour dispensing head has movable dispensers which feed coating fluid to a common slot, and the slot can be deformed to correspond to the shape of the surface being coated.Type: ApplicationFiled: April 29, 2002Publication date: September 5, 2002Inventors: Juan C. Lopez Tonazzi, Raymond Zhang, Robert S. LeCompte

Patent number: 6373618Abstract: A transparent chromogenic panel in which color changes are selectively effectable over predefined areas comprises a pair of facing glass substrates each covered with a conductive layer divided into individual energizeable areas each provided with as set of busbars. An electrochromic electrode layer overlies at least one of the conductive layers. An insulating adhesive sealant spaces apart the substrates and insulates the busbar sets from each other and from exposure to the electrolyte and the electrochromic layer, so that each busbar set may be individually energizeable to effect a color change through a respective one of the individual areas. A passive layer is advantageously superimposed over one of the substrates, its color being chosen so that the color and the transmissivity of the passive layer accommodates the range of color change and transmissivity of the electrochromic layer to maintain the transmitted color of the panel in a warm or neutral shade.Type: GrantFiled: May 4, 2000Date of Patent: April 16, 2002Assignee: Schott-Donnelly, LLCInventors: Anoop Agrawal, Raymond Zhang, Jonathan M.
